Microbial fuel cells (MFCs), as a green energy technology that simultaneously enables electricity generation and wastewater treatment, exhibit performance that is highly dependent on the structural distribution of the microbial community. In this study, we investigated the effect of magnetic field (MF)-coupled magnetic carbon dots (N-CD/FeO) as a selective pressure on the structure of mixed microbial communities in an intermittent pulsating fluidized-bed bioelectrochemical reactor. Under a moderate magnetic field (15 mT), N-CD/FeO were effectively adsorbed onto microbial cells and subsequently aggregated, significantly enhancing electron transfer within the community.

Bone metastasis, which is associated with adverse outcomes, is a serious health concern for renal cell carcinoma (RCC) patients, especially considering the limited therapeutic options. In this study, we investigated the expression profiling of circRNAs in five primary RCC samples and RCC-bone metastases (Bone Met) using high-throughput screening and identified an upregulated circRNA in Bone Met (hsa_circ_0016459, circKCNK2). Notably, overexpression of circKCNK2 could promote osteoclast differentiation and accelerate the destruction of osteolytic bone metastasis by stimulating IL-11 secretion.

Accurately determining the Hansen solubility parameters (HSPs) of fuel cell ionomers is crucial for optimizing the dispersion and dispersive state of the ionomer in fuel cell catalyst inks. This directly impacts the structure and coating process of the catalyst layer in proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs). The Hansen solubility parameters (HSPs) of the Nafion ionomer were calculated by the Hansen solubility parameter software (HSPiP), inverse gas chromatography (IGC), and group contribution methods.

Despite extensive research studying the opinions on vaccination since the outbreak of COVID-19, the dynamics of temporal opinion shifts of individuals and their possible origins have been rarely studied. Here, we explore the possible influence of social interactions (retweet network) on individual's opinion shift related to vaccinations based on large-scale Twitter data in Japan. We use an opinion score which calculates the fraction of pro-, neutral and anti-vaccine tweets to measure the dynamic changes of individual opinions, and identify statistically significant communities based on retweet network.

CD70 is an emerging biomarker for both solid tumors and hematologic malignancies, highlighting the urgent need for a molecular imaging tracer capable of visualizing CD70 with favorable pharmacokinetics. ABDB6 was prepared by fusing the albumin-binding domain ABD035 with the CD70-targeting single-domain antibody RCCB6, which we previously reported. The resulting ABDB6 was then conjugated to the bifunctional chelator -SCN-NOTA and labeled with Cu to produce [Cu]Cu-NOTA-ABDB6.

The clinical diagnosis of renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is constantly evolving. Diagnostic imaging of RCC relying on enhanced computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is commonly used for renal mass characterization and assessment of tumour thrombosis, whereas pathology is the gold standard for establishing diagnosis. However, molecular imaging is rapidly improving the clinical management of RCC, particularly clear-cell RCC.
