Background Antibodies generated in response to vaccination in mothers are efficiently transferred across the placenta. The transfer of these antibodies may depend on the time of vaccination during pregnancy, the type of vaccine, and the number of doses, including booster doses. We designed the present study to study the correlation between anti-spike (anti-S), anti-nucleocapsid (anti-N), and neutralizing antibodies in vaccinated mothers and neonates in Mumbai, India.

Background: Globally, non-communicable diseases (NCDs), including hypertension, are the leading cause of mortality. People Living with HIV (PLHIV) on antiretroviral therapy (ART) have a higher prevalence of hypertension, risk of cardiovascular events, and all-cause mortality than HIV-uninfected individuals. We describe the implementation of an integrated hypertension screening initiative in a routine program setting and assessed the prevalence of hypertension and its associated factors among PLHIV accessing services at ART centers in Mumbai, India.

Introduction: Pediatric Early Warning Score (PEWS), also known as Brighton PEWS or Monaghan PEWS, was developed to identify children at risk for clinical deterioration in hospitals. We designed this study to describe the epidemiology of unintentional injuries in children admitted to the critical care unit in a tertiary healthcare setting, and to determine the predictive properties of PEWS in these injuries.

Methods: This is a cross-sectional study.

Background: Even though quantitative studies have described barriers to anti-retroviral therapy (ART), a more exploratory approach will provide in-depth information on these issues, and potential suggestions to address these issues at individual as well as structural level. We designed this qualitative study to examine the barriers and facilitators for antiretroviral therapy adherence in key population (KP) in Mumbai, India. We also wanted to understand the strategies adopted by these groups and get suggestions to improve adherence to ART.

  • The study assessed the diagnostic accuracy of the Palm Scan VF2000Ⓡ Virtual Reality Visual Field Analyzer compared to the HumphreyⓇ Field Analyzer for detecting and classifying glaucoma severity.
  • Results showed the Palm Scan had 100% sensitivity and specificity for identifying glaucoma, but there were notable misclassifications of glaucoma severity, especially with moderate cases.
  • The conclusion suggests that while the Palm Scan is effective for screening glaucoma, it is not yet reliable enough to replace the Humphrey Field Analyzer for managing patient care.
