Bufalin is an endogenous cardiotonic steroid, first discovered in toad venom but also found in the plasma of healthy humans, with anti-tumour activities in different cancer types. The current review is focused on its mechanisms of action and highlights its very large spectrum of effects both in vitro and in vivo. The objective of this review was to collect information and results about the method of the microwave freeze-thaw treatment of injectable drugs and whether the method can support the development of Centralized Intravenous Admixtures Services. A systematic review of the scientific literature about injectable drug stability studies was performed. Galectin-1 (Gal-1) is overexpressed in tumor cells and tumor-associated endothelial cells, and is broadly implicated in angiogenesis, cancer cell motility and invasion, and immune system escape.
