Macrophages exhibit heterogeneity due to their presence in different tissues that have distinct cell fates. Ferroptosis is one type of cellular fate, but the sensitivity of different types of macrophages to ferroptosis and the associated molecular mechanisms are not clear. This study explored the ferroptosis sensitivity of bone marrow and splenic macrophage, focusing on the contribution of ferritinophagy.

This study investigated the therapeutic potential of Bacteroides ovatus (BO) and its synergistic combination with MIL-101(CuFe) nanozyme for IDA. The results demonstrated that BO significantly enhanced intestinal iron absorption by upregulating the expression of the duodenal iron transporter ZIP14 and ferroportin (Fpn).

During oxidative stress, unnaturalized free radicals can damage DNA, proteins, and lipids, leading to cellular damage and death. A comprehensive measurement of various pro-oxidative and antioxidative exposures can reflect an individual's oxidative stress burden.

Recently, this technique has been used to form a 3D racetrack memory device by transferring a complex magnetic thin film heterostructure, in the form of a membrane, onto a corrugated surface. The membrane is released using a water-soluble oxide layer (SrAlO).

Objectives: The study aimed to explore whether gut microbiota can directly regulate iron overload-induced colitis and its underling mechanism.
Background: Human periodontal ligament stem cells (PDLSCs) regenerate oral tissue. expansion causes replicative senescence in stem cells. This causes intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) accumulation, which can impair stem cell function.

This study models the noise and signal transfer functions of trans-impedance amplifiers (TIAs), charge-sensitive circuits, and voltage-mode readout circuits in detail. A series of simulations and experiments were conducted to elucidate the advantages and disadvantages of these circuit types.

We retrospectively collected and analyzed the clinicopathological data of 215 resected LARC patients. X-tile software was used to determine the optimal threshold value for PIV in predicting overall survival (OS).

Clinicopathological data from 213 (training set) and 106 (validation set) LACC cases undergoing CCRT were retrospectively analyzed. The receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) was used to compare the predictive ability of NPS and other indicators for survival.

Our previous studies demonstrated that TAZ is a positive regulator of osteogenic differentiation of hPDLSCs, but whether TAZ can protect hPDLSCs from LPS is still unknown. The present study aimed to explore the regulatory effect of TAZ on the osteogenic differentiation of hPDLSCs in an LPS-induced inflammatory model, and to preliminarily reveal the molecular mechanisms related to the NF-κB signaling pathway.

To assess the role of ANOS1 in esophageal cancer (ESCA) progression, multi-omic analysis and experimental validation were employed. It was revealed that ANOS1 expression is significantly enhanced in ESCA patients and cell lines. The expression level of ANOS1 in ESCA patients can distinguish the malignancy from normal tissue with an area under curve (AUC) >0.

In this work, the noise performance of a TIA and charge sensitive amplifier (CSA) based C-V readout circuit is analyzed in detail. The theoretical derivation and simulation experiments carried out in this paper show that the thermal noise of high value feedback resistors in TIA dominates the output noise of the circuit, while a CSA-based readout circuit can overcome this shortcoming.

The natural compound epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) possesses potent anti-tumor and antibacterial traits. However, the tumor's adaptability to chemotherapy due to its acidic pH and elevated glutathione (GSH) levels, coupled with the challenges posed by drug-resistant bacterial infections post-surgery, impede treatment outcomes.

This disrupts normal formation of disulfide bonds among cytoskeletal proteins, leading to histone skeleton collapse and triggering cellular apoptosis. However, the correlation between disulfidptosis and immune responses in relation to glioblastoma survival rates and immunotherapy sensitivity remains understudied.
