Football performance results from the dynamic interaction between physical, tactical, technical, and psychological dimensions-each of which also influences player well-being, recovery, and readiness. However, integrated monitoring approaches remain scarce, particularly in youth and sub-elite contexts. This systematic review screened 341 records from PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science, with 46 studies meeting the inclusion criteria ( = 1763 players; age range: 13.

Methods: This article synthesizes existing literature on the topic and presents a novel analysis of pre-exam anxiety rates among physically inactive high school students from 56 countries. Using data from the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) 2018, a hierarchical clustering method was applied to identify four clusters based on stratified country groups by the students' pre-exam anxiety levels.

Background: There are no data in the literature regarding the optimal pitch training load (PTL) for elite soccer teams during congested seasons.
Objectives: This study had three goals: (1) identify whether there is an adaptation in match physical performance (MPP) in response to PTL throughout a congested season in elite soccer players; (2) identify whether MPP adaptation is specific to the coach's PTL philosophy; and (3) identify the optimal PTL for MPP during a congested season.
Method: Over two seasons, we collected data from 11,658 PTL sessions and 3068 MPP data from 54 elite male soccer players.

The incidence and endemic range of human babesiosis are expanding. Standard therapy for human babesiosis consists of antimicrobials developed for other indications. While these treatments are adequate in immunocompetent hosts, infections in the immunocompromised can be severe, relapsing, and drug-resistant despite the use of multi-drug regimens.

Adolescence is a critical period for the development of physical and cognitive health. Understanding how lifestyle and physical health parameters relate to academic performance and quality of life may inform school-based interventions. This study aimed to evaluate the relationship between physical activity level (PAL), quality of life (QoL), physical fitness (PF), strength, speed and agility, body composition, and academic performance (AP) in high school students.

Analyzing this phenomenon in contexts where children meet and interact, like football schools/clubs, is critical. The study aims to investigate how youth football coaches perceive bullying and their role in addressing it, as well as to explore bullying as a social phenomenon through the lens of coaches' knowledge and experiences.

Cryptosporidiosis is a diarrheal disease caused by the parasite resulting in over 100,000 deaths annually. Here, we present a structure-activity relationship study of the benzoic acid position (R) of pyrazolo[3,4-]pyrimidine lead SLU-2815 (), an inhibitor of parasite phosphodiesterase PDE1, resulting in the discovery of benzoxaborole SLU-10906 () as a benzoic acid bioisostere. Benzoxaborole is 10-fold more potent than against the parasite in a cell-based infection model (EC = 0.

This research investigates the application of ML models in classifying male young football players aged under (U)15, U17, and U19 according to their recovery state. Weekly training load data were systematically monitored across three age groups throughout the initial month of the 2019-2020 competitive season, covering 18 training sessions and 120 observation instances.

The aim of this study was to test a machine learning (ML) model to predict high-intensity actions and body impacts during youth football training. Sixty under-15, -17, and -19 sub-elite Portuguese football players were monitored over a 6-week period. External training load data were collected from the target variables of accelerations (ACCs), decelerations (DECs), and dynamic stress load (DSL) using an 18 Hz global positioning system (GPS).
