Football performance results from the dynamic interaction between physical, tactical, technical, and psychological dimensions-each of which also influences player well-being, recovery, and readiness. However, integrated monitoring approaches remain scarce, particularly in youth and sub-elite contexts. This systematic review screened 341 records from PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science, with 46 studies meeting the inclusion criteria ( = 1763 players; age range: 13.

Introduction: The relationship between physical activity and anxiety among students has been extensively studied, with research highlighting the protective effects of physical activity on mental well-being.
Methods: This article synthesizes existing literature on the topic and presents a novel analysis of pre-exam anxiety rates among physically inactive high school students from 56 countries. Using data from the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) 2018, a hierarchical clustering method was applied to identify four clusters based on stratified country groups by the students' pre-exam anxiety levels.

Background: There are no data in the literature regarding the optimal pitch training load (PTL) for elite soccer teams during congested seasons.
Objectives: This study had three goals: (1) identify whether there is an adaptation in match physical performance (MPP) in response to PTL throughout a congested season in elite soccer players; (2) identify whether MPP adaptation is specific to the coach's PTL philosophy; and (3) identify the optimal PTL for MPP during a congested season.
Method: Over two seasons, we collected data from 11,658 PTL sessions and 3068 MPP data from 54 elite male soccer players.
Football, as a dynamic and complex sport, demands an understanding of tactical behaviors to excel in training and competition. Artificial intelligence (AI) has revolutionized the tactical performance analysis in football, offering unprecedented data analytics insights for players, coaches, and analysts. This systematic review aims to examine and map out the current state of research on AI-based tactical behavior, collective dynamics, and movement patterns in football.

This disease presents a large variety of pathogenic variants, which cause a wide phenotypical spectrum. This diversity, together with the low number of affected patients, raises the challenge of determining genotype-phenotype correlations in PMM2-CDG.

Diabetic foot ulcers (DFU) are one of the most devastating complications of diabetes, with high impact on patient's quality of life. In worst scenarios, DFU can lead to severe amputation or even death. DFUs are an easy target for microbial pathogens and their effective healing is hampered by the galloping increase of microbial resistance to antibiotics, including from the most prevalent pathogens in DFU, e.

Aligning with the One Health approach, there is growing investment in promoting pet health and well-being. As a result, sustainable functional ingredients are increasingly essential for pet food development.

This research investigates the application of ML models in classifying male young football players aged under (U)15, U17, and U19 according to their recovery state. Weekly training load data were systematically monitored across three age groups throughout the initial month of the 2019-2020 competitive season, covering 18 training sessions and 120 observation instances.

The continuous demand for new treatment options prioritizes the cost-effective development of new chemical entities with multi-stage antiplasmodial activity, for higher efficacy and lower propensity to elicit drug-resistant parasite strains. Following up on our long-term research towards the rescue of classical antimalarial aminoquinolines like chloroquine and primaquine, we have developed new organic salts by acid-base pairing of those drugs with natural bile acids.

The aim of this study was to analyze the match-to-match variation in high-intensity demands from one Portuguese professional football team according to playing positions. Twenty-three male outfield professional football players were observed during eighteen matches of the Portuguese Second League. Time-motion data were collected using Global Positioning System (GPS) technology.

The aim of this study was to test a machine learning (ML) model to predict high-intensity actions and body impacts during youth football training. Sixty under-15, -17, and -19 sub-elite Portuguese football players were monitored over a 6-week period. External training load data were collected from the target variables of accelerations (ACCs), decelerations (DECs), and dynamic stress load (DSL) using an 18 Hz global positioning system (GPS).

Drug repurposing and rescuing have been widely explored as cost-effective approaches to expand the portfolio of chemotherapeutic agents. Based on the reported antitumor properties of both trans-cinnamic acids and quinacrine, an antimalarial aminoacridine, we explored the antiproliferative properties of two series of N-cinnamoyl-aminoacridines recently identified as multi-stage antiplasmodial leads. The compounds were evaluated in vitro against three cancer cell lines (MKN-28, Huh-7, and HepG2), and human primary dermal fibroblasts.
