Purpose: To demonstrate flow-suppressed two-dimensional (2D) spin-echo and spin-echo diffusion echo-planar imaging (EPI) sequences using hyperbolic secant (HS) pulses for both π/2 excitation and π refocusing.
Theory And Methods: A theoretical framework to derive phase dispersion of moving spins under π/2 excitation and π refocusing using HS pulses was described. Numerical simulations were performed to verify the validity of the theoretical analysis.

Simple hepatic cysts are now diagnosed in over 8,000 individuals annually in South Korea, largely due to the widespread adoption of medical check-ups and advancements in imaging techniques. However, no appropriate clinical practice guideline has been established to address this condition. While international guidelines have recently been published, differences in clinical and epidemiological contexts have highlighted the need for a tailored guideline to assist domestic clinicians.

This hormone is used as a type of medication for humans and animals, including fish, but is associated with serious side effects and environmental persistence, which has led to a growing interest in phytoestrogens as an alternative. Phytoestrogens are compounds derived from plants that are structurally similar to estrogen and may exhibit similar behavior in the body.

Background: The utility of threshold growth (TG) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) imaging remains contentious across major guidelines. This study aimed to investigate the diagnostic implications of TG in HCC diagnosis using the criteria set by the Liver Imaging Reporting and Data System (LI-RADS).
Methods: In this single-center retrospective study, three radiologists independently evaluated pre-transplantation hepatobiliary agent-enhanced MR images and prior CT/MR images using LI-RADS v2018 in consecutive patients who underwent liver transplantation between January 2010 and November 2022.
Introduction: Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has been shown to outperform computed tomography (CT) in diagnosing hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), although inconsistencies exist across studies. We compared the performance of CT and gadoxetic acid-enhanced MRI in diagnosing HCC according to various guidelines, and to assess the incremental value of a second-line examination.
Methods: This retrospective multicenter study included patients at risk of developing HCC with focal liver lesions (FLLs) ≥10 mm.
Objective: We aimed to examine how different types of adrenal hormone excess influence body composition.
Design: A retrospective, cross-sectional, single-centre study.
Methods: We retrospectively enrolled 2971 consecutive adults with adrenal tumours and age-, sex-, and body mass index-matched controls at a 1:3 ratio.
Incidentally detected gallbladder polyps (GBPs) and gallbladder wall thickening (GBWT) are frequently encountered in clinical practice. However, characterizing GBPs and GBWT in asymptomatic patients can be challenging and may result in overtreatment, including unnecessary follow-ups or surgeries. The Korean Society of Abdominal Radiology (KSAR) Clinical Practice Guideline Committee has developed expert recommendations that focus on standardized imaging interpretation and follow-up strategies for both GBPs and GBWT, with support from the Korean Society of Radiology and KSAR.

Materials And Methods: This prospective study enrolled participants who met the eligibility criteria at 2 tertiary hospitals in South Korea from June 2022 to January 2023. The criteria included ( a ) being aged between 20 and 85 years and ( b ) having suspected or known liver metastases.
Purpose: To assess the efficacy of contrast vector imaging (CVI) in detecting tumoral vascular structures and flow characteristics of focal liver lesions (FLLs) for differential diagnosis.
Materials And Methods: In this prospective study, 65 participants with FLLs underwent CEUS using SonoVue with high-frame-rate imaging technique between July 2019 and October 2020. CVI was obtained by post-processing arterial cine imaging of CEUS.
Aim/introduction: We assess the efficacy of artificial intelligence (AI)-based, fully automated, volumetric body composition metrics in predicting the risk of diabetes.
Materials And Methods: This was a cross-sectional and 10-year retrospective longitudinal study. The cross-sectional analysis included health check-up data of 15,330 subjects with abdominal computed tomography (CT) images between January 1, 2011, and September 30, 2012.

Objective: To survey experts' opinions in abdominal radiology (radiologists) and pancreas-specialized gastroenterology (pancreatologists) in South Korea regarding diagnosing and managing pancreatic cystic neoplasms (PCNs).
Materials And Methods: Between August 25, 2023, and October 5, 2023, an online survey was conducted among members of the Korean Society of Abdominal Radiology and the Korean Pancreatobiliary Association via email invitation.
Results: The responses from 100 radiologists and 41 pancreatologists were analyzed.
Objective: To compare the image quality and lesion conspicuity of conventional vs deep learning (DL)-based reconstructed three-dimensional T1-weighted images in gadoxetic acid-enhanced liver magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
Methods: This prospective study (NCT05182099) enrolled participants scheduled for gadoxetic acid-enhanced liver MRI due to suspected focal liver lesions (FLLs) who provided signed informed consent. A liver MRI was conducted using a 3-T scanner.

Cross-sectional imaging plays a crucial role in the detection, diagnosis, staging, and resectability assessment of intra- and extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. Despite this vital function, there is a lack of standardized CT and MRI protocol recommendations for imaging cholangiocarcinoma, with substantial differences in image acquisition across institutions and vendor platforms. In this review, we present standardized strategies for the optimal imaging assessment of cholangiocarcinoma including contrast media considerations, patient preparation recommendations, optimal contrast timing, and representative CT and MRI protocols with individual sequence optimization recommendations.

Background: Sarcopenia or visceral adipose tissue has been reported to be related to pancreatic cancer prognosis. However, clinical relevance of the comprehensive analysis of body compositions and their longitudinal changes is lacking. This study analysed the association between body composition changes after chemotherapy and survival in patients with metastatic pancreatic cancer.
