Primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) is a chronic autoimmune liver disease that is commonly associated with various other autoimmune disorders. We conducted a phenome-wide association study Mendelian randomization (MR-PheWAS) to determine genetic association between PBC and other diseases, particularly autoimmune disorders. We performed a PheWAS to investigate the causal associations between PBC and related traits by conducting enrichment analysis of 35 PBC risk loci identified by prior GWAS and their matched control SNP sets in UK Biobank database.

Many natural products (NPs), known for their diverse biological activities, low toxicity, as well as multi-targeting capabilities, offer distinct advantages in PSD treatment by modulating pathological mechanisms. However, a comprehensive summary of the pathological mechanisms of PSD and the molecular mechanisms of NPs intervention is currently lacking.

The stratum corneum of the skin functions as a barrier, obstructing drug absorption and complicating the treatment of skin infections caused by pathogens such as bacteria, fungi, and viruses through topical methods. In this research, a microneedle patch was developed, which consists of gelatin-sucrose (SG) that encapsulates polydopamine-copper nanoparticles (PDA@Cu) at the tip for antibacterial purposes. Poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate (PEGDA) served as the primary substrate for the microneedle shaft (PDA@Cu-SG/PEGDA).

The aim of our study is to evaluate the effect of PSAE on skeletal muscle, and to identify the predictor for an improvement in skeletal muscle index (SMI) in cirrhotic patients with hypersplenism after PSAE.
Materials And Methods: 466 cirrhotic patients with hypersplenism underwent PASE between Dec 2013 and Mar 2022.
Machine learning (ML) models have recently shown important advantages in predicting nanomaterial properties, which avoids many trial-and-error explorations. However, complex variables that control the formation of nanomaterials exhibiting the desired properties still need to be better understood owing to the low interpretability of ML models and the lack of detailed mechanism information on nanomaterial properties. In this study, we developed a methodology for accurately predicting multiple synthesis parameter-property relationships of nanomaterials to improve the interpretability of the nanomaterial property mechanism.
