The growing problem of antimicrobial resistance in aquaculture, caused by the excessive and unregulated use of antibiotics, highlights the critical necessity for developing new anti-infective solutions. Based on the characteristics of glycine-rich antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) and transcriptomic data, an antimicrobial peptide, namely Rgly1, was discovered in this study. Subsequently, the peptide was obtained through heterologous expression in , and its antibacterial spectrum was determined.

Accurate prediction of the gas emission volume in the mining face can prevent gas accidents in advance, optimize the mining plan, reduce energy consumption, and contribute to the safe, efficient and green development of coal mines. In order to improve the prediction accuracy of gas emission volume.A prediction model of gas emission based on grey system theory is proposed.

Water resource, with properties of scarcity, is one of the vital resource endowments. Like land resources, the prices of these resource endowments should be correlated to their locations to follow fair and reasonable principles. The current water price systems are mainly policy-oriented fixed regimes.

Monitoring vegetation change and their potential drivers are important to environmental management. Previous studies on vegetation change detection and driver discrimination were two independent fields. Specifically, change detection methods focus on nonlinear and linear change behaviors, i.

Article Synopsis
  • The study analyzed 15 types of perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in 22 sediment samples from urban lakes in Anqing, China, using advanced chromatography techniques.
  • The total PFAS concentrations ranged from 0.61 to 26 ng/g dry weight, with perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) being the primary contaminant detected.
  • Higher PFAS levels were found in lakes northwest of Anqing City, likely due to nearby chemical and industrial factories, and these levels were relatively high compared to other lakes.

A highly sensitive acetylcholinesterase (AChE) electrochemical biosensor for the quantitative determination of organophosphate pesticides (OPs) in vegetables and fruits based on palladium-copper nanowires (Pd-Cu NWs) was reported. AChE immobilized on the modified electrode could catalyze hydrolysis of acetylthiocholine chloride (ATCl), generating an irreversible oxidation peak. When exposed to the OPs, the activity of the AChE was inhibited and the current significantly decreased.

Water resources are one of the important factors that influence regional crop production and the food security of humans. Most traditional models of crop water demand analysis are built on the basis of a certain crop or macroscopic analysis, which neglect regional crop allocation and the difference of water demand in different crop growing periods. In this paper, a new assessing model, the satisfied degree of crop water requirement, is developed to assess the impacts of water resources on production of six main food crops in China.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the land use intensity and land use change type at the basin scale in the middle and lower reaches of the Hanjiang River Basin (in Hubei Province, China) by combining the Landsat TM images in 1995 and 2000 with the land use database (in scale 1:10,000) and relative data. In this study, the basic data is acquired from the interpretation of remote sensing (RS) images. The intensity of land use and the rate of change in double-directions of land use dynamics are calculated with the support of software ARC/INFO.
