Cellular senescence is a stress-induced program characterized by long-lasting cell cycle arrest and the secretion of bioactive and inflammatory molecules, which are collectively referred to as the senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP). Diverse stressors, including oncogene activation, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and cytokine exposure, can induce cellular senescence in cancer cells. Senescent cancer cells (SnCs) can enhance immune responses and promote tumor immune surveillance.

The revised developmental work personality scale (RDWPS) is a self-reported assessment to evaluate the work personality of the examinee which further psychometric study is required and needs to be applied to different culture. Objective: To introduce a surgical protocol based on the location and orientation of the apex of the medial condylar fracture line for the treatment of Schatzker type Ⅳ tibial plateau fractures and report the preliminary effectiveness.

Objective: To investigate the clinical effect of surgical treatment of Pilon fractures accompanied with fibula fractures with the improved double operative approaches.

Methods: Between January 2012 and June 2015, 19 patients with closed Pilon fractures accompanied with fibula fractures (Rüedi-Allgöwer type Ⅲ) underwent open reduction and internal fixation with improved anterior-median incision and posterior-lateral incision. There were 13 males and 6 females, aged 35 years on average (range, 23-68 years).

Emergency treatment of amputation is one of the most frequently used therapeutic methods for patients with severe upper limb crush injury with a mangled extremity severity score (MESS) of more than 7. With the development of advanced surgical repair techniques and reconstructive technology, cases that once required amputation can now be salvaged with appropriate management, and some limb functions may also be reserved. A patient with a severe upper limb crush injury with a MESS score of 10 was treated in our hospital.

Alterations in the expression of microRNAs (miRNAs or miRS) have been implicated in the pathogenesis of the majority of human malignancies, and the dysregulation of microRNA-144 (miR-144) has been associated with several diseases. However, the potential involvement of miR-144 in osteosarcoma, a common malignant bone tumor in children and adolescents with a high risk of relapse and metastasis, has not yet been fully investigated. In the present study, we examined the expression and roles of miRNAs in osteosarcoma as potential diagnostic markers and therapeutic targets, and we focused on miR-144 due to its known involvement in osteogenesis.

Human mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) were cultured in vitro in a cobweb-like biodegradable polymer scaffold: a poly(dl-lactic-co-glycolic acid)-collagen hybrid mesh in serum-free DMEM containing TGF-beta3 for 1-10 weeks. The cells adhered to the hybrid mesh, distributed evenly, and proliferated to fill the spaces in the scaffold. The ability of the cells to express gene encoding type I collagen decreased, whereas its ability to express type II collagen and aggrecan increased.

Micro-pulverized coal(0-20 microns) combustion is a new kind of pulverized coal combustion technology.
