Aim: To evaluate the diagnostic potential of key tumor markers in serum, bile, and fecal samples for detecting HCC.
Methods: Blood, bile, and fecal samples were collected from patients ( = 265) with HCC and cholecystitis from Guangxi Medical University's First Affiliated Hospital.
Background: The development of the Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based severity inspection model for ankylosing spondylitis (AS) could support health professionals to rapidly assess the severity of the disease, enhance proficiency, and reduce the demands of human resources. This paper aims to develop an AI-based severity inspection model for AS using patients' X-ray images and modified Stoke Ankylosing Spondylitis Spinal Score (mSASSS).
Methods: The numerical simulation with AI is developed following the progress of data preprocessing, building and testing the model, and then the model.
Background And Objective: Post-hepatectomy liver failure (PHLF) is one of the major complications following hepatectomy for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Early identification and precise prediction of PHLF are essential for effective management. This study aimed to evaluate the predictive value of intra-hepatectomy indocyanine green retention rate at 15 min (ICGR15) for the remnant liver for grade B/C PHLF in HCC patients undergoing hemi-hepatectomy.

Background: Gastric mucosal heterotopia (GMH) is a rare, typically asymptomatic condition characterized by ectopic gastric mucosa in tissues outside the stomach. However, it can lead to severe complications, including small intestinal perforation. This case report highlights the unique clinical presentation of GMH-induced recurrent small intestinal perforations, which has been rarely documented.

Aim: To examine the clinical utility of GPR for prognosis prediction in solitary HBV-related HCC patients.
Methods: A total of 1167 solitary HBV-related HCC patients were retrospectively analyzed.

Background: Differential counting (DC) of different cell types in bone marrow (BM) aspiration smears is crucial for diagnosing hematological diseases. However, a clinically applicable method for automatic DC has yet to be developed.
Objective: This study developed and validated an artificial intelligence (AI)-based algorithm for identifying and classifying nucleated cells in BM smears.
Pomegranate ( L.) is an ancient fruit crop that has been cultivated worldwide and is known for its attractive appearance and functional metabolites. Fruit color is an important index of fruit quality, but the color formation pattern in the peel of evergreen pomegranate and the relevant molecular mechanism is still unknown.

Background: This study aimed to identify dendritic cells (DCs) related genes in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients, establish DC-related subtypes and signatures, and correlate them with prognosis and treatment response.
Methods: DC-related genes were screened using Weighted Gene Co-expression Network Analysis (WGCNA) based on RNA sequencing from the TCGA (374 samples), GSE14520 (242 samples), and GSE76427 datasets (115 samples), following immune infiltration assessment by the TIME method. Two DC-related subtypes in HCC were identified through unsupervised clustering.
Array waveguide gratings (AWGs) have been widely used in multi-purpose and multi-functional integrated photonic devices for Microwave photonics (MWP) systems. In this paper, we compare the effect of output waveguide configurations on the performance of AWGs. The AWG with an output waveguide converging on the grating circle had larger crosstalk and lower nonuniformity.

However, it remains challenging to assess the contributions of demic and cultural diffusion to Han culture and language, primarily due to the lack of rigorous examination of genetic-linguistic congruence. Here we digitized a large-scale linguistic inventory comprising 1,018 lexical traits across 926 dialect varieties.

This study aimed to investigate the relationship between the GNRI and PNI for survival outcomes in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 1666 patients with HCC who underwent hepatectomy.
This study was aimed to investigate the prognostic value and clinical significance of sarcosine dehydrogenase (SARDH) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and to explore the underlying mechanisms. The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO), HPA and CPTAC databases were adopted to analyze the expression of SARDH mRNA and protein between normal liver tissue and HCC, and examine their relationship with clinicopathological features. Kaplan-Meier analysis, Cox regression, as well as nomogram were adopted to explore the prognostic value of SARDH in HCC.

The efficacy of neoadjuvant therapy for recurrence after hepatectomy for hepatocellular carcinoma is still unclear. We report a case of recurrent massive advanced hepatocellular carcinoma with pathological complete remission was treated by continuous hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy (HAIC) and sequential transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE) combined with secondary operation.

Background: Genetic variants of outer dynein arm docking complex subunit 2 (ODAD2) have been reported to be closely associated with primary ciliary dyskinesia and colorectal cancer in previous studies, but the association of genetic variants of ODAD2 with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has not been reported.
Methods: We enrolled 80 healthy subjects and 468 Guangxi hepatitis B virus (HBV)-related HCC patients in this study. A case-control study method was used to explore the association of different ODAD2-rs7893462 genotypes with hepatocarcinogenesis.
PANoptosis, an interplay between pyroptosis, apoptosis, and necroptosis, is deeply involved in cancer development and immunity. However, the influence of PANoptosis in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remains to be further investigated. The differentially expressed PANoptosis-related genes (PANRGs) was screened in The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database.

An integrated microwave photonic mixer based on silicon photonic platforms is proposed, which consist of a dual-drive Mach-Zehnder modulator and a balanced photodetector. The modulated optical signals from microwave photonic links can be directly demodulated and down-converted to intermediate frequency (IF) signals by the photonic mixer. The converted signal is obtained by conducting off-chip subtraction of the outputs from the balanced photodetector, and subsequent filtering of the high frequency items by an electrical low-pass filter.

Due to the advantages of low propagation loss, wide operation bandwidth, continuous delay tuning, fast tuning speed, and compact footprints, chirped Bragg grating waveguide has great application potential in wideband phased array beamforming systems. However, the disadvantage of large group delay error hinders their practical applications. The nonlinear group delay spectrum is one of the main factors causing large group delay errors.
