Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Antler base (Cervus nippon Temminck), a traditional Chinese medicine, is categorized as deer antler. Antler base extracts can delay osteoarthritis (OA); however, the underlying molecular pathways and effective substances remain unclear.

Aim Of The Study: to clarify the potential mechanism of action and effective substance structure of Cervus nippon Temminck antler base peptides (CNCPs) in improving OA.

The intestinal microbiota represents a diverse population that serves a key role in colorectal cancer (CRC) and its treatment outcomes. Advancements in sequencing have revealed notable shifts in microbial composition and diversity among individuals with CRC. Concurrently, animal models have elucidated the involvement of specific microbes such as , and in the progression of CRC.

Polymer-based drug-controlled release systems offer greater efficacy and potency than conventional therapies. However, prominent drug side effects, lower circulation, and low drug loading capabilities limit their application range. In this work, the combination of Simvastatin (SIV) and Carvacrol (CAV) into PEG-PLGA microspheres (SIV-CAV-PP-MS) was achieved via an emulsification-solvent evaporation technique, resulting in microspheres characterized by high encapsulation efficiency and reduced particle size.

The great potential of polysaccharides in immunological regulation has recently been highlighted in pharmacological and clinical studies. Polysaccharides can trigger immunostimulatory responses through molecular identification, intra- and intercellular communication via direct or indirect interactions with the immune system. Various immunostimulatory polysaccharides or their derivative compounds interacts at cellular level to boost the immune system, including arabinogalactans, fucoidans, mannans, xylans, galactans, hyaluronans, fructans, pectin and arabinogalactans, etc.

In this study, the pH-responsive API-CMCS-SA (ACS) polymeric nanoparticles (NPs) based on 1-(3-amino-propyl) imidazole (API), stearic acid (SA), and carboxymethyl chitosan (CMCS) were fabricated for the effective transport of curcumin (CUR) in liver cancer. CUR-ACS-NPs with various degrees of substitution (DS) were employed to prepare through ultrasonic dispersion method. The effect of different DS on NPs formation was discussed.

Base on improving the solubility and permeability of enoxacin (EX) to enhance the antibacterial activity in vitro, three new pharmaceutical salts/cocrystals of EX with oxalic acid (EX·0.5(CHO)·2(HO)), malonic acid ((HEX)·CHO) and fumaric acid ((HEX)·CHO) have been designed, synthesized and characterized. Comprehensive analysis structure and Hirshfeld surface reveal that the hydrogen bonds/CAHBs formed by the N atom in the piperazine ring from EX molecule with the carboxylic acid group in the coformer could form a stable crystal structure.
