Biodegradable bioplastics, such as Poly-β-hydroxybutyrates (PHB), derived from these microbes provide a sustainable alternative to conventional petroleum-based nondegradable plastics.

Our study utilized an experimentally synthesized dye as a reference molecule, employing a donor-π linker-acceptor (D-π-A) framework for organic solar cells. The molecule featured a triazatruxene group linked with alkyl branches as the donor and ethynyl benzoic acid as the acceptor, connected through a derivative of benzothiadiazole as the π linker. To improve optoelectronic and photovoltaic properties, ten theoretically designed dyes (ZA1-ZA10) are proposed, differing from the reference (R) by modifying the terminal acceptor moiety.

In alkaline calcareous soils, ammonia volatilization is the primary nitrogen (N) loss process, resulting in the reduced N use efficiency of crops. This study aimed at assessing the impact of different N sources for top dressing on ammonia volatilization, as well as their effects on wheat growth and yield over two years. In each year, half of the recommended N was applied as a basal dose using diammonium phosphate (DAP) and urea.

The catalytic cycle comprises binding of Mg-ATP at the nucleotide-binding domain, phosphorylation of the E1 state (E1), conformational transition to the E2P state, and dephosphorylation through the actuator domain and re-establishment of the E1 state. Recently, it has been suggested that, for several P-type ATPases, Mg-ATP binds to the phosphorylated enzyme, thereby accelerating the transition to the E1 state, before then becoming the enzyme's catalytic substrate.
