Background: Maxillary sinus lift procedures require biomaterials that combine osteogenic potential with structural stability. This study evaluates Albumin-Platelet-Rich Fibrin (Alb-PRF), a novel autologous material, as a standalone graft alternative in two-stage lateral sinus lifts, addressing limitations of rapid resorption in traditional platelet concentrates.
Methods: A prospective study was conducted on nine patients (mean age: 48.
Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma (OSCC) is the sixth most aggressive type of oral cancer. Mutations in cancer-driving genes such as protein kinase are well known in cancer progression. We selected candidate genes (PIK3CA, BRAF, EGFR, ALK, and ROS1) for mutations exploration in the OSCC patients belonging to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) through Next Generation-Whole Exome Sequencing (NG-WES) using Formalin Fixed Paraffin Embedded (FFPE) tissue blocks (27 tumor and 7 paired normal) for the 1st time followed by in-silico characterization.

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a rising global health concern, especially in resource-limited countries like Pakistan, where indiscriminate and unregulated use of antibiotics has significantly worsened this problem. The study aimed to analyze the bacterial spectrum and antimicrobial resistance patterns in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) cultures from patients with suspected bacterial meningitis, providing crucial insights for better infection control and treatment strategies. This retrospective study analyzed 1107CSF cultures were between 2019 and 2024 at the Lady Reading Hospital, MTI, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, to assess bacterial profiles in patients with suspected bacterial meningitis and investigate the AMR patterns.

One of the main cosmetic issues in adults is the gap between the upper incisors, known as diastema, and the upper lip frenulum is often a contributing factor to this condition. Therefore, it is imaportant to focus on this aspect.

Understanding the underlying mechanisms, risk factors, and biological processes is essential for improving treatment outcomes. Through this paper, we present an exceptionally rare case of "bilateral" aggressive osteomyelitis affecting the mandible, resulting in significant bone loss on both sides.

Background And Objectives: Current treatment options for obesity typically involve a combination of lifestyle changes, medications, and bariatric surgeries. This study aimed to assess the safety profile of the endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty (ESG), which is a novel non-invasive approach, as compared to laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) and to correlate their weight loss effectiveness and complication risk in Lebanese patients.
Subjects And Methods: This is a retrospective study, including 70 patients who underwent ESG at Fouad Khoury Hospital and 70 patients who underwent LSG at Trad Hospital, between September 2021 and March 2023.
Herein, we reported mutations in five DNA Damage Repair (DDR) i.e., TP53, ATR, ATM, CHEK1 and CHEK2 involved in OSCC using NG-WES and their analysis using bioinformatics tools.

Materials And Methods: This retrospective cohort study was carried out on patients who had reported to the department of oral and maxillofacial surgery at Tishreen University between January 2018 and June 2024. The sample consisted of patients who had transalveolar sinus lift using motorized threaded bone expanders with simultaneous hybrid dental implants placement without bone graft materials.
This study explores the green synthesis of silver (Ag-NPs), copper (Cu-NPs), and silver-copper bimetallic nanoparticles (Ag-Cu Bimetallic NPs) using the leaf extract of Peganum harmala, a sustainable and renewable plant source. This eco-friendly synthesis method avoids hazardous chemicals and minimizes waste, advancing the principles of green nanotechnology. Characterization demonstrated distinct properties; Ag-NPs, Cu-NPs, and Ag-Cu bimetallic NPs exhibited surface plasmon resonance peaks at 425 nm, 555 nm, and 525 nm, respectively, and crystallite sizes of 21.

The primary purpose of the study was to identify the best dyeing parameters, such as shade, temperature, pH, and time, in order to better understand the behaviour of dispersed dyes during polyester dyeing. To achieve excellent colour strength in value (K/S = 26), the ideal dyeing conditions for disperse dye 4 were 30 min, pH of 8, and 110 °C at shade 3%.

Introduction And Importance: Restoring lost teeth in the posterior atrophic maxilla presents a significant challenge due to insufficient bone volume for implant placement. Simultaneous implant placement during lateral sinus lift is often considered, but the decision is typically based on the amount of existing bone. The aim of this study was to investigate the feasibility of simultaneous implant placement and maxillary sinus floor augmentation in the atrophic posterior maxilla using autogenous bone ring.
