This study introduces a novel dual-sensitive drug delivery system, gelatin-coated chitosan microparticles (GL-ChMPs), designed to enhance the lung targeting and therapeutic efficacy of semaglutide (SEM). GL-ChMPs were designed to respond to the acidic environment and metalloproteinases, conditions that are typical in pulmonary fibrosis. SEM-GL-ChMPs exhibited superior lung targeting and prolonged retention while minimizing systemic distribution.

The Goldschmidt tolerance factor, octahedral factor, Helmholtz free energy, and formation energy illustrated the structural, chemical, and thermodynamic stabilities of the studied compounds. The equilibrium lattice constants for KSeBr and KSnBr deviated from the experimental values by 4.

The downregulation of SIRT1 or inhibition of its activity is implicated in its pathophysiology. We hypothesized that the combined SIRT1 direct activator E1231 and the SIRT1 stabilizer nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) could offer a novel approach to mitigate the pathophysiological features of MetS.

Background/objective: Janus Kinase inhibitors (JAKinibs) are effective and well-tolerated targeted therapies for rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The comparative efficacy and safety of different JAKinibs remains unclear. This network meta-analysis (NMA) aimed to assess the relative efficacy and safety of different available JAKinibs.

This study addresses a significant gap in understanding the association between serum levels of vitamin K2 analogs in different CAD types and examines their correlations with clinical risk parameters in CAD patients.
Methods: This case-control study enrolled CAD patients and healthy controls to assess and compare serum concentrations of two vitamin K2 analogs including menaquinone-4 (MK-4) and menaquinone-7 (MK-7) via ultra-performance liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS).
The three-dimensional (3D) MHD mixed convection mode confined 3D wavy trapezoidal enclosure is examined. The bottom plane of the trapezoidal system is irregular, particularly a wavy plane with various undulation numbers [Formula: see text]. The forced convection phenomenon arises due to the displacement of the top region plane, whereas the porosity-enthalpy methodology characterizes the progression of charging.

Phenytoin (PHT) is an antiseizure BCS (Biopharmaceutics Classification System) class II drug, presenting low aqueous solubility. Therefore, the current study aimed at increasing its solubility, dissolution, and bioavailability.

In addition, the database lacks a review to analyze the outcomes of surgeries for mid-transverse colon cancer with several recent controversial studies. We aimed to compare the outcomes of extended hemicolectomy versus transverse colectomy for mid-transverse colon cancer.

Background And Aims: Many strategies are available to prevent spinal-induced hypotension in cesarean section, especially the use of a low dose of spinal anesthesia combined with adjuvants. This study investigated the effect of adding either dexmedetomidine or dexamethasone to the intrathecal bupivacaine-fentanyl mixture on the postoperative analgesia duration, after elective cesarean section.
Material And Methods: This prospective, randomized, double-blind study was conducted on 90 full-term parturients undergoing elective cesarean section, who were randomly distributed into three groups.
Background: The aim of this study is to investigate, through finite element analysis (FEA), the biomechanical behavior of the built-in angle corrected dental implant versus implant with angled multiunit abutment used in All-On-Four treatment protocol.
Methods: Two (3D) finite element models of a simplified edentulous mandible were constructed with two different posterior implant designs based on the All-On-Four protocol. Four implants were placed in each model, the two anterior implants were positioned vertically at the lateral incisor/canine sites.

The global disruption created by the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic in medical education and healthcare institutions is unparalleled. Consequently, it is essential to evaluate the usability of forms of educational technology and to identify their viability and suitability for medical education. The objective of the investigation was to present an assessment of the state of medical education during the COVID-19 epidemic and to identify the obstacles faced by educators while introducing online learning systems for medical students.

This study aimed to develop a biodegradable chitosan-based system loaded with REP-solid lipid nanoparticles (REP-SLNs) for controlled release and bioavailability enhancement via transdermal delivery.
Methods: REP-SLNs were fabricated by ultrasonic hot-melt emulsification.
A high-throughput therapeutic monitoring method was developed for repaglinide (RPG) in diabetic patients, combining parallel artificial liquid membrane extraction (PALME) with ultraperformance liquid chromatography electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-ESI-MS/MS). PALME was performed using a 96-well donor plate comprising a donor solution containing a plasma sample, 50 mM phosphate buffer (pH = 8.0), and cetirizine (CTZ) as internal standard.

The misuse of antibiotics has led to antibiotic-resistant bacterial strains, making it even harder to combat and eliminate their infections. Staphylococcus aureus causes various adverse infections and diseases, including skin abscesses, bloodstream infections, pneumonia, and joint infections. In this study, we aimed to test the cytotoxic and antibacterial effects of bee venom-loaded chitosan nanoparticles (BV-loaded CS-NPs) in comparison to gamma-irradiated BV and native BV from Apis mellifera.
