Introduction: Insomnia is one of the most common symptoms of depression, estimated to occur in approximately 75% of adult patients with depression, and it may persist even after remission from depressive episodes. Our objectives were to evaluate the efficacy of mirtazapine in reducing insomnia and depression symptom severity, assess side effects, and compare quality of life before and after intervention in major depressive disorder (MDD) patients with insomnia.
Methods: This was a single-center, prospective, open-label, quasi-experimental pre-post intervention trial of six weeks.
Rickets is a major public health concern globally. It results from impaired mineralization of the growing bone at its growth plate associated with abnormal calcium and phosphate metabolism. Among different classifications, nutritional deficiency is the commonest variety, and the genetic form of rickets has also been identified frequently in this genomic era.

Thus, our research determined AMU patterns and their associated factors in Bangladeshi chicken farms. We conducted a cross-sectional study in 340 commercial chicken farms comprising broilers (109), layers (109), and Sonali (122) farms in seven districts of Bangladesh from September to October 2021.

This study investigated the effects of α-mangostin (α-MG) on the pharmacokinetics of tofacitinib in vitro and in vivo, aiming to recommend its appropriate application in clinical practice. To investigate the values of IC and inhibition of α-MG in vitro, rat liver microsomes were incubated with tofacitinib. In this study, Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly assigned to three groups: a control group, a single-dose group (50 mg/kg of α-MG), and a multiple-dose group (50 mg/(kg/d) of α-MG for 7 days).

Thus, assessing the willingness to pay (WTP) for the COVID-19 vaccine is essential for understanding potential pricing strategies, subsidy requirements, and vaccine demand.
Objective: This study aimed to assess the prevalence of WTP for the COVID-19 vaccine and its correlates.
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a complex autoimmune disease with multisystem involvement. Lupus Nephritis (LN) is the most serious presentation. Cardiovascular complications in SLE and LN can cause significant morbidity and mortality.

The integration of synthetic micro/nanomotors (MNMs) with natural biomaterials derived from cell membranes has emerged as a highly promising strategy for advancing biological applications. The membrane-coated MNM offers distinct advantages over earlier MNMs dependent on chemical fuels such as hydrogen peroxide, which were prone to poor biocompatibility and harmful byproducts. These include enhanced biocompatibility, immune evasion via natural membrane surfaces, multifunctionality for drug delivery, self-propulsion in complex environments, self-degradation to reduce residual toxicity and inherent imaging capabilities enabling real-time tracking.

The discovery of topological materials, particularly graphene, has significantly advanced thermionics research. Thermionic emission in these materials deviates from the Richardson-Dushman equation due to their linear energy dispersion.

This study investigates the potential drug-drug interactions between commonly prescribed antihypertensive drugs and mobocertinib in clinical practice to provide the scientific basis for the appropriate therapeutic application of drugs. The study used ultra-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry to detect the essential metabolites of mobocertinib in rat liver microsomes. Moreover, several antihypertensive drugs were used as inhibitors and the IC values were determined for calcium channel blockers, angiotensin II receptor blockers, and α and β receptor blockers against mobocertinib.

This study explores the modulation of ferroptosis in senescent human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) and wound-healing processes by Piezo1 activation at the molecular, cellular, and tissue levels. Elevated Piezo1 expression was observed in HUVECs treated with the senescence inducer doxorubicin (Doxo) and the ferroptosis inducer erastin and in aged wound tissue.

Myocardial infarction is the permanent necrosis of heart tissue caused by an artery obstruction. It causes an inadequate delivery of oxygen and nutrients, resulting in muscle injury in the afflicted areas. Here, water extract of mixed spices-onion, garlic, ginger, red chili, turmeric, cumin seed, coriander, cardamom, black pepper, cloves, fenugreek, nigella, cinnamon, and carom seed-was prepared to evaluate cardioprotective function in albino rats.

This study aimed to investigate the effects of gliquidone and linagliptin, two hypoglycemic agents on the pharmacokinetics of tofacitinib in vitro and in vivo.
Methods: The mechanism of drug-drug interaction was studied in vitro using a murine liver microsome incubation system and in vivo by administering gliquidone and linagliptin orally to rats pretreated with various concentrations of tofacitinib.
Background: Limited clinical evidence exists regarding the safety profile of amiodarone therapy in patients with heart failure (HF) who already have underlying cirrhosis.
Objective: The present study aimed to investigate the safety profile of amiodarone in patients with cirrhosis and HF concomitantly.
Methods: This was a retrospective cohort study with the TriNetX database using ICD-10 codes.
Objective: This study aims to evaluate the effects of different levels of coated cysteamine HCl (CSH) supplementation on growth performance, carcass traits, and meat quality in Charolais crossbred cattle.
Methods: Twenty-four Charolais crossbred steers, aged 24-30 months with an initial body weight of 418 ± 31 kg, were assigned to three dietary treatments: 0% (control), 0.5%, or 1.
The chaperonin containing TCP1 subunit 5 (CCT5) is believed to function as a tumor driver. However, a systematic pan-cancer analysis of CCT5 is still lacking. Therefore, this study aimed to identify the potential role of CCT5 in different types of tumors.

Introduction: ZnO nanoparticles (NPs) have garnered significant attention due to their remarkable multifunctionality, particularly in biomedical and environmental applications.
Methods: The study synthesized ZnO NPs using Blanco peel extracts. The structural, morphological, and optical properties of ZnO NPs have been analyzed.
This study aimed to investigate the factors influencing users' adoption of internet of things-enabled healthcare devices by incorporating two new constructs, perceived product value and perceived technology accuracy, into the united theory of acceptance and use of technology. A total of 772 participants were surveyed using convenience sampling, and partial least squares-structural equation modeling was employed to analyze the data. The results showed that all 'united theory of acceptance and use of technology' constructs, except for performance expectancy, had a significant impact on attitudes toward internet of things-enabled healthcare devices.

Three-dimensional point cloud semantic segmentation is a fundamental task in computer vision. As the fully supervised approaches suffer from the generalization issue with limited data, few-shot point cloud segmentation models have been proposed to address the flexible adaptation. Nevertheless, due to the class-agnostic nature of the few-shot pretraining, its pretrained feature extractor is hard to capture the class-related intrinsic and abstract information.
