Objective: To compare the efficacy of different settings in continuous-wave transscleral cyclophotocoagulation (CW-TSCPC).
Design: Prospective, randomized, triple-blind clinical trial in a single tertiary center.
Participants: Adult glaucoma patients who need continuous wave-transscleral cyclophotocoagulation to control intraocular pressure (IOP) or prevent or treat ocular pain/discomfort secondary to increased IOP.
Background: Current diagnostic and monitoring of pediatric brain tumors rely on invasive tissue biopsies and imaging, highlighting the need for non-invasive alternatives. For that matter, liquid biopsy is a promising method. This pilot study investigated the potential of circulating miRNAs to serve as non-invasive biomarkers of pediatric glioma tumors.

Reported PSV carrier rates among pediatric and adolescent cancer patients range from 8 to 17.6%, with variability attributed to ethnic background, the number of genes tested, cancer phenotypes, and patient selection criteria.

Inhibitors of phosphorylated eIF2α (PeIF2α) phosphatase-namely raphin-1 and salubrinal-decrease survival of PED-DHGG cell lines and sensitize them to radiation. However, although both drugs increase PeIF2α, they have different effects on common targets and different targets altogether.

Background And Objective: Extreme thrombocytosis (EXT) is defined as a platelet count >1000×10/L. The aim of the current study was to evaluate the etiology, management, and outcome of pediatric patients with EXT, focusing on thrombotic complications.
Study Design: We conducted a retrospective study at a large tertiary center, examining cases of pediatric EXT identified from electronic medical records over a 5-year period.
