Optimization of dye decolourization for wastewater and power production are explored in dual-chamber microbial fuel cells (MFCs) with TiO/CdS photocathodes. The rapid reduction of azo dye methylene blue (MB) and power production were enhanced with TiO/CdS photocathode under illumination. The analysis of electrochemical impedance spectra indicated that the photocatalysis of TiO/CdS accelerated the electron transfer process of photoelectrode reduction.

Mass resolving power is one of the key features of Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry (FT-ICR MS), which enables the molecular characterization of complex mixtures. Quadrupole (2ω) detection provides a significant step forward in FT-ICR MS performance, as it doubles the resolving power for a given signal acquisition time.
