Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is among the most prevalent endocrinological abnormalities seen in reproductive female bodies posing serious health hazards. The correctness of interpreting this condition depends heavily on the wide spectrum of associated symptoms and the doctor's expertise, making real-time clinical detection quite challenging. Thus, investigations on computer-aided PCOS detection systems have recently been explored by several researchers worldwide as a potential replacement for manual assessment.

Neural and cognitive processes require zinc and copper homeostasis and a normal zinc/copper ratio. Ceruloplasmin, an intrinsic antioxidant protein, maintains copper homeostasis, which might also influence autism spectrum disorder (ASD). ASD children are frequently reported with altered levels of these elements with wide geographical variations.

Every one of us has a unique manner of communicating to explore the world, and such communication helps to interpret life. Sign language is the popular language of communication for hearing and speech-disabled people. When a sign language user interacts with a non-sign language user, it becomes difficult for a signer to express themselves to another person.

Medical waste incineration fly ash (MWIFA) contains heavy metals that are toxic by nature and pose numerous health risks. The paper deals with the suitability of MWIFA as a mineral filler in the bituminous layer as an alternative to conventional stone dust (SD) through an appropriate combination of engineering and environmental assessments. Engineering parameters, such as Marshall stability, stability loss, flow, unit weight, air voids (V), voids filled with asphalt (VFA), and voids in the mineral aggregate (VMA) of the asphalt mixtures, were evaluated with varying filler ratios, from 2% to 10%.

Objectives: Nowadays, mobile health applications are developed to raise awareness and facilitate screening and treatment of cervical cancer, while a very few studies have been conducted focusing on the measurement and assurance of usability and exploring the acceptable user experience of such applications. Usability issues become a crucial concern for such cervical-cancer-related applications because users with diverse backgrounds in terms of education, information technology literacy, and geographic reasons are required to access those applications. The objective of this research is to evaluate the usability of mobile health applications developed for cervical cancer patients.

Osteosarcoma is the most common type of bone cancer that tends to occur in teenagers and young adults. Due to crowded context, inter-class similarity, inter-class variation, and noise in H&E-stained (hematoxylin and eosin stain) histology tissue, pathologists frequently face difficulty in osteosarcoma tumor classification. In this paper, we introduced a hybrid framework for improving the efficiency of three types of osteosarcoma tumor (nontumor, necrosis, and viable tumor) classification by merging different types of CNN-based architectures with a multilayer perceptron (MLP) algorithm on the WSI (whole slide images) dataset.

Viral epidemics of variable frequency and severity have wreaked havoc and panic across the world. The Nipah virus (NiV), which has been linked to multiple outbreaks, mostly in South and Southeast Asia, is regarded as one of the deadliest in the world. In Bangladesh, seasonal outbreaks of encephalitis caused by the NiV have occurred annually since 2003.

Some substituted glucose-conjugated thioureas containing 1,3-thiazole ring, 4a-h, were synthesized by the reaction of the corresponding substituted 2-amino-4-phenyl-1,3-thiazoles 2a-h with 2,3,4,6-tetra--acetyl-β-d-glucopyranosyl isocyanate. The antibacterial and antifungal activities of these thiazole-containing thioureas were estimated using a minimum inhibitory concentration protocol. Among these compounds, 4c, 4g, and 4h were better inhibitors with MIC = 0.

Irrigation water in rice cultivation significantly affects the arsenic (As) mobilization in the paddy field soil. This research assessed the effect of rainwater (RW) and groundwater (GW) on the dissolution dynamics of arsenic (As) in paddy field soil. Up-flow column flooding experiments were conducted continuously for 80 d with simulated RW and GW to evaluate As dissolution phenomena in actual field conditions.

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the most frequent endocrinological anomaly in reproductive women that causes persistent hormonal secretion disruption, leading to the formation of numerous cysts within the ovaries and serious health complications. But the real-world clinical detection technique for PCOS is very critical since the accuracy of interpretations being substantially dependent on the physician's expertise. Thus, an artificially intelligent PCOS prediction model might be a feasible additional technique to the error prone and time-consuming diagnostic technique.

Electroencephalogram (EEG)-based emotion recognition is a computationally challenging issue in the field of medical data science that has interesting applications in cognitive state disclosure. Generally, EEG signals are classified from frequency-based features that are often extracted using non-parametric models such as Welch's power spectral density (PSD). These non-parametric methods are not computationally sound due to having complexity and extended run time.
