Background: About 10-15% of all breast cancers comprise triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), defined as cancer cells that lack ER, PR, and HER2 protein receptors. Due to the absence of these receptors, treating TNBC using conventional chemotherapy is challenging and, therefore, requires the discovery of novel chemotherapeutic agents derived from natural sources.
Objective: The current work was intended to study the potential phytochemicals of Ajwa dates ( L.

This paper revisits the distribution of thermodynamic variables within initial protoplanets formed via gravitational instability (GI) across a broad mass spectrum ranging from (where denotes 1 Jupiter mass, equal to g), using the Homotopy Analysis Method (HAM), a novel approach in this context. Concerning heat transfer within the protoplanets, consideration is given to the convective mode. Our findings reveal a noteworthy alignment between the results obtained via the HAM, utilizing only the first four terms (third approximation), and numerical outcomes.

This study aims to investigate the simultaneous relationship between bank risk and capital, specifically examining how competition and ownership jointly influence this relationship. We employed the two-step system generalized method of moments to address concerns regarding endogeneity and unobserved heteroscedasticity. Based on data from 44 commercial banks in Bangladesh from 2010 to 2021, our findings reveal several key insights: (I) There is a significant non-linear bidirectional relationship between bank risk and capital: capital exhibits a U-shaped effect on risk, while risk has a non-linear negative impact on capital; (II) in highly contested markets, banks hold higher levels of capital, and heightened competition reduces the risk appetite of commercial banks; while less competition has the opposite effect; (III) private and Islamic commercial banks are more risk-averse than state-owned and conventional ones, and (IV) Private and Islamic banks with strong capital positions in a competitive market can better manage risks than state-owned and conventional banks.

Urban lakes are vital to ecosystems, providing essential services and recreational spaces in densely populated megacities. However, rapid urbanization and anthropogenic activities, particularly eutrophication driven by macronutrient accumulation, severely threaten these water bodies. This study underscores the critical need for continuous trophic state monitoring to sustain fish, wildlife, and plant ecosystems.

Objectives: The present study aimed to observe how body composition differs between severe acute malnutrition (SAM) (treated with ready-to-use therapeutic food, RUTF) and well-nourished children.
Methods: A longitudinal investigation was conducted among well-nourished and SAM children of 6-59 months in Rohingya refugee camps. These two groups (350 children in each group) of children were observed over 12 weeks and individual data were collected during admission, follow-up visits, and at the time of discharge.

The invasive Asian clam species, Corbicula fluminea, has significant ecological and societal implications at both local and international levels due to its nutritional aspects. C. fluminea from four urban rivers in Bangladesh exhibited negative allometric growth and degree of contamination with potentially toxic elements (PTEs), which posed a concern to human health based on the AAS and USEPA risk models.

The use of bio-based sources for producing multifunctional cotton fabric with UV-protective and antibacterial properties is essential. Hence, the primary aim of this work was to develop sustainable functional cotton fabric (antibacterial and UV-protective) by applying silk sericin and chitosan using a simple and environmentally benign pad-dry curing method. The modification as well as functional properties of the treated fabric were evaluated in terms of antimicrobial efficacy, moisture management, UV protection, scavenging activity, surface morphology, thermal stability and mechanical strength.

Background: Koala retrovirus (KoRV), a major pathogen of koalas, exists in both endogenous (KoRV-A) and exogenous forms (KoRV-A to I and K to M) and causes multiple disease phenotypes, including carcinomas and immunosuppression. However, the direct association between the different KoRV subtypes and carcinogenesis remains unknown. Differentially expressed gene (DEG) analysis of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) of koalas carrying both endogenous (KoRV-A) and exogenous (KoRV-A, B, and C) subtypes was performed using a high-throughput RNA-seq approach.

The study investigates the antioxidant properties of , focusing on identifying its antioxidant compounds and chemical constituents. We compare antioxidant activities across its root, stem, flower, and leaf and examine the inhibition of reactive oxygen species (ROS)-generating enzymes by the plant's phytocompounds. We conducted a comprehensive analysis that included proximate analysis, mineral content assessment, and in vitro antioxidant characterization of various plant parts-root, stem, flower, and leaf.

RNA 5-methyluridine (m5U) sites play a significant role in understanding RNA modifications, which influence numerous biological processes such as gene expression and cellular functioning. Consequently, the identification of m5U sites can play a vital role in the integrity, structure, and function of RNA molecules. Therefore, this study introduces GRUpred-m5U, a novel deep learning-based framework based on a gated recurrent unit in mature RNA and full transcript RNA datasets.

The development of electrospun nanofibrous scaffolds (NFSs) have aroused much attraction in the field of biomedical engineering, due to their small fiber diameter, high specific surface area, and excellent extracellular matrix comparability. The main focus of this study is to design and fabricate novel zeolitic imidazole framework-8 (ZIF-8)-loaded silk fibrin/polycaprolactone (SF/PCL) nanofiber composite scaffolds by using the electrospinning strategy. Firstly, ZIF-8 was synthesized and characterized, which showed remarkable features in terms of shape, size, chemical and physical properties.

3β-Hydroxysteroid dehydrogenases (3β-HSDs) catalyze the oxidative conversion of delta (5)-ene-3-beta-hydroxy steroids and ketosteroids. Human 3β-HSD type 2 (HSD3B2) is predominantly expressed in gonadal and adrenal steroidogenic cells for producing all classes of active steroid hormones. Mutations in HSD3B2 gene cause a rare form of congenital adrenal hyperplasia with varying degree of salt wasting and incomplete masculinization, resulting from reduced production of corticoids and androgens.

Plasmonic sensors utilizing surface plasmon resonance (SPR) have emerged as powerful tools for sensitive and label-free detection across a wide range of applications. This study introduces a new dual-core silver-coated plasmonic sensor designed to significantly enhance sensitivity and resolution, making it particularly effective for precise analyte detection in complex environments. A key innovation of this sensor lies in its dual-core architecture, which achieves the highest wavelength sensitivity reported at 30,000 nm/RIU and resolution of RIU, covering a broad refractive index (RI) range from 1.
