Continuous casting is a key process in steel production, and optimizing the cutting process to minimize material waste while meeting customer demands is one of the core challenges in improving production efficiency. This paper proposes an online optimization algorithm to address the cutting optimization problem in steel continuous casting. Through an optimization model constructed by combining nested models, analytical modeling, and computer traversal algorithms, cutting schemes can be adjusted in real-time when production abnormalities occur, ensuring production continuity and efficiency.

Apples are one of the most productive fruits in the world, in addition to their nutritional and health advantages for humans. Even with the continuous development of AI in agriculture in general and apples in particular, automated systems continue to encounter challenges identifying rotten fruit and variations within the same apple category, as well as similarity in type, color, and shape of different fruit varieties. These issues, in addition to apple diseases, substantially impact the economy, productivity, and marketing quality.

Owing to its low incidence, small trauma, fast recovery, and high efficiency, left atrial appendage occlusion has become a new strategy for preventing stroke caused by atrial fibrillation. Due to a lack of relevant research information on this emerging technology, the effectiveness, stability, or related complications of occluders are mostly observed from a clinical perspective. However, there are fewer studies on the mechanical properties and safety of these occluders.

Background: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) has unusual levels of hormones. The hormone receptors in the endometrium have a hostile effect and make the microenvironment unfavorable for embryo implantation. The use of gonadotropin stimulation during in vitro fertilization (IVF) may have an impact on embryo implantation and live birth rate.

Asthma is a respiratory disease that can be exacerbated by certain environmental factors. Both formaldehyde (FA) and PM, the most common indoor and outdoor air pollutants in mainland China, are closely associated with the onset and development of asthma. To date, however, there is very little report available on whether there is an exacerbating effect of combined exposure to FA and PM at ambient concentrations.
