Immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) is standard of care in advanced diffuse pleural mesothelioma (DPM), but its role in the perioperative management of DPM is unclear. In tandem, circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) ultra-sensitive residual disease detection has shown promise in providing a molecular readout of ICB efficacy across resectable cancers. The role of the right hemisphere in aphasia recovery has been controversial since the 19th century. Imaging studies have sometimes found increased activation in right hemisphere regions homotopic to canonical left hemisphere language regions, but these results have been questioned due to small sample sizes, unreliable imaging tasks, and task performance confounds that affect right hemisphere activation levels even in neurologically healthy adults. Several principles of right hemisphere language recruitment in aphasia have been proposed based on these studies: that the right hemisphere is recruited primarily by individuals with severe left hemisphere damage, that transcallosal disinhibition results in recruitment of right hemisphere regions homotopic to the lesion, and that increased right hemisphere activation diminishes to baseline levels over time.

Integration of Patient Reported Outcomes Data among People with HIV in Washington, DC: A sub-cohort of the DC Cohort Longitudinal Study.

Aim: Patient reported outcomes (PROs) can help to evaluate gaps and areas for improvement along the HIV care continuum. We sought to describe the methodology and processes of a PROs study within the DC Cohort study population, describe the PROs results to date, report on lessons learned, and describe future directions of the research.

Subject And Methods: Each study site recruited participants from the DC Cohort, a longitudinal study on people with HIV, to complete the electronic PROs baseline and annual follow-up surveys, which consisted of previously validated measures of social determinants of health, mental health, substance use, medication adherence, and other related measures.

Current approaches used for pediatric liver transplant (LT) surveillance have diagnostic limitations. We used pleximmune™ immune reactivity index (IRI) and anti-HLA donor specific antibody (DSA) to predict the adequacy of immunosuppression (IS) relative to risk of acute cellular rejection (ACR) at 1-year post LT. This is a retrospective chart review of children who underwent LT between January 1, 2016, through December 31, 2020, and had at least one pleximmune measurement performed within 60-days of a liver biopsy.

Improved injury detection through harmonizing multi-site neuroimaging data after experimental TBI: a Translational Outcomes Project in Neurotrauma consortium study.

Multi-site neuroimaging studies have become increasingly common in order to generate larger samples of reproducible data to answer questions associated with smaller effect sizes. The data harmonization model NeuroCombat has been shown to remove site effects introduced by differences in site-related technical variance while maintaining group differences, yet its effect on improving statistical power in pre-clinical models of CNS disease is unclear. The present study examined fractional anisotropy data computed from diffusion weighted imaging data at 3 and 30 days post-controlled cortical impact injury from 184 adult rats across four sites as part of the Translational-Outcome-Project-in-Neurotrauma (TOP-NT) Consortium.

Theory predicts that high population density leads to more strongly connected spatial and social networks, but how local density drives individuals' positions within their networks is unclear. This gap reduces our ability to understand and predict density-dependent processes.
