Background: Monitoring infectious diseases is essential for preventing and controlling outbreaks, especially in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), where issues like poor infrastructure, lack of trained staff, and limited resources can make data collection challenging. Digital tools such as mobile health apps and electronic reporting systems show promise in addressing these problems. However, it's still unclear how well these tools actually improve the quality of data, like how quickly information is reported, how accurate it is, whether all necessary data is captured, and if the data can be trusted.

The c-MET receptor tyrosine kinase has become a key focus for therapeutic intervention in various cancer types due to its crucial role in driving cancer progression and metastasis. While Savolitinib, a specific inhibitor of c-MET, has demonstrated promise in clinical trials, its limited availability within the body and the risk of developing resistance have prompted a quest for alternative inhibitors. In this research endeavor, we downloaded and screened a range of pharmacophoric analogs inspired by Savolitinib to explore new avenues for inhibiting c-MET.

Introduction: Tamoxifen (TAM) is an off-label treatment option for men with breast cancer, infertility, and gynecomastia. Unfortunately, one of the undesirable effects of TAM is sexual dysfunction. Therefore, this study was designed to investigate the possible associated mechanisms with TAM-induced sexual dysfunction and the possible ameliorative effect of omega-3 fatty acids (O3FA).

Prolonged flunitrazepam use has been reported to be increasing among young adolescents, and it has been reported to induce hyperprolactinemia, causing gross impairment of testicular function, ultimately resulting in male infertility. Hence, this current study seeks to examine the possible protective potential of the micronutrient Vitamin D3 in mitigating flunitrazepam-induced testicular dysfunction. Adult male rats (Wistar strain), weighing 200-220 g, were categorized into four groups: Vehicle [0.

In recent years, an increasing demand for medicinal plants to control diseases for human well being has resulted in the usage of such plants in our society. Current study aims to determine the role of antimicrobial peptides and nanoparticles synthesized by aqueous extract of date fruit palm as antimicrobial, anti-pathogenic, anti-diabetic agents and their effect on hematological parameters. A total of 32 chemical compounds, 21 unique antimicrobial peptides (proteins) and 10 low molecular weight antioxidant peptides were identified in the aqueous extract of Phoenix dactylifera.

Although biologically known for its central role in calcium homeostasis, Vitamin D3 (VD3), owing to its scattered receptors across bodily tissues and the presence of its metabolizing enzymes, has recently garnered scientific attention. This review examined the literature to document the role and specific mechanisms of action of VD3, its receptors, and metabolizing enzymes in male reproduction. Using the keywords Vitamin D3, vitamin D receptors, vitamin D metabolic enzymes, and male reproductive system to search PUBMED and other academic archives, it was observed that VD3, through its interaction with the VDR and with the backing of the activities of its metabolizing enzymes, modulates the male reproductive functions, acting as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory in reproductive organs to prevent oxidative damages that may result from exposure to environmental toxicants and the increased oxygen utilization by mitochondria owing to high level of unsaturated fatty acids in the testis, thus preventing male infertility.

Cereal crops have been integral to human sustenance since the Neolithic era which have earned significant attention as staple foods. The year-round cultivation and consumption of cereal-based products have led to the escalating global production of cereals and a rise in industrial processing which results in significant waste generation. These wastes contain high-value nutrients such as carbohydrates, proteins, and lipids.

Background: Back pain is very common and a leading cause of disability worldwide. Due to health care system inequalities, Indigenous communities have a disproportionately higher prevalence of injury and acute and chronic diseases compared to the general Canadian population. Indigenous communities, particularly in northern Canada, have limited access to evidence-based spine care.

Recently, there has been an increasing demand for medicinal plants to control diseases for good health and well-being, as primary health facilities are inadequate in certain populations to cure infections. Since synthetic medicines are toxic to humans and other animals, the present research is thus focused on using traditional medicine for treating various ailments as they are harmless. Based on the above facts, the current study was conducted to assay the antimicrobial, anti-diabetic, anti-cholinesterase, anti-oxidant, anti-quorum sensing, and anti-antibiotic resistance modifying effect of extracts of .

Monosodium glutamate (MSG) is one of the most extensively used flavour enhancers worldwide. Although it is widely regarded as a safe food additive with no recommended daily dosage, its over-consumption has been associated with notably pathophysiological events in various tissues and organs of the body. Previous studies have reported of the neuro- cardio- and hepato- toxic effects of its excessive exposure.

Ageing is a natural process with physiological changes in different body parts and has been associated with decreased reproductive capacity. Factors such as imbalance in the antioxidant defence system, vascular diseases, diabetes mellitus, accessory reproductive glands infection, obesity as well as buildup of toxic substances play a role in age-related male reproductive malfunction. Age is inversely proportional to volume of semen, sperm count, sperm progressive motility, sperm viability, normal sperm morphology.

Objectives: While a fine balance in the pro-apoptotic and anti-apoptotic family members of the B-cell lymphoma-2 (Bcl-2) protein family represents a normal signaling profile, a tilt in balance towards anti-apoptotic family members has fortified different forms of cancers with survival advantage and resistance against treatment. Induction of apoptosis is a key therapeutic approach in cancer drug discovery, and the inhibition of the anti-apoptotic B cell lymphoma extra-large (Bcl-xL) is a long-standing clinical target for cancer therapy. In this study, we combined computer-aided approaches to report putative binders for this target.
