The effects of climate warming on the distribution of range-expanding species are well documented, but the interactive effects of climate warming and range-expanding species on recipient communities remain understudied. Advances in bacteriophage genome sequencing and regulatory approvals of some bacteriophages in various applications have renewed interest in these antibacterial viruses as a potential solution to persistent food safety challenges. Here, we analyzed in depth the genome of the previously studied bacteriophage OSYSP (phage OSYSP), revealed its application-related characteristics, and optimized its enumeration techniques for facilitating industrial implementation. The crystal structure of the title compound, hexa-aqua-nickel(II) dichloride-1,4,7,10,13,16-hexa-oxa-cyclo-octa-deca-ne-water (1/2/2), [Ni(HO)]Cl·2CHO·2HO, is reported. The asymmetric unit contains half of the Ni(OH) moiety with a formula of CHClNiO at 105 K and triclinic (1) symmetry. The [Ni(OH)] cation has close to ideal octa-hedral geometry with O-Ni-O bond angles that are within 3° of idealized values.

In the title compound, CHN·2CHNO, 4-nitro-phenol and 4,4'-bi-pyridine crystallized together in a 2:1 ratio in the space group 2/. There is a hydrogen-bonding inter-action between the nitro-gen atoms on the 4,4'-bi-pyridine mol-ecule and the hydrogen atom on the hydroxyl group on the 4-nitro-phenol, resulting in trimolecular units. This structure is a polymorph of a previously reported structure [Nayak & Pedireddi (2016 ▸).

Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) have revolutionized cancer therapy, but their use is limited by the development of autoimmunity in healthy tissues as a side effect of treatment. Such immune-related adverse events (IrAE) contribute to hospitalizations, cancer treatment interruption and even premature death. ICI-induced autoimmune diabetes mellitus (ICI-T1DM) is a life-threatening IrAE that presents with rapid pancreatic beta-islet cell destruction leading to hyperglycemia and life-long insulin dependence.

Altermagnetism was very recently identified as a new type of magnetic phase beyond the conventional dichotomy of ferromagnetism (FM) and antiferromagnetism (AFM). Its globally compensated magnetization and directional spin polarization promise new properties such as spin-polarized conductivity, spin-transfer torque, anomalous Hall effect, tunneling, and giant magnetoresistance that are highly useful for the next-generation memory devices, magnetic detectors, and energy conversion. Though this area has been historically led by the thin-film community, the identification of altermagnetism ultimately relies on precise magnetic structure determination, which can be most efficiently done in bulk materials.

Background: While body image dissatisfaction (BID) and eating disorders (EDs) are relatively common in athletes (ranging from 11% to 67% of athletes, depending on the sport) [1], they are also prevalent in weight-class restricted sports (a common format in strength sports), and among physique athletes [2]. These athletes manipulate their nutrition to reach aesthetic or body weight standards and, in that process, may undergo prolonged periods of low energy availability. Low energy availability, defined as consuming insufficient energy for one's lean mass and exercise activity, can lead to Relative Energy Deficiency in sport (REDs), a syndrome that can impact menstrual cycle (MC) symptoms (and many other aspects of physiology and psychology) [3].

Here, we highlight three paths of action to improve on tree-ring databases in ecology: 1) Implementing consistent bias analyses in large dendroecological databases and promoting community-driven data to address data limitations, 2) Encouraging the integration of tree-ring data with other ecological datasets, and 3) Promoting theory-driven, mechanistic dendroecological research.

Cistaceae are shrubs, subshrubs and herbs that often occur in stressful, fire-prone or disturbed environments and form ectomycorrhizal (ECM) associations with symbiotic fungi. Although some Cistaceae are long-lived shrubs that grow to significant size, others are herbaceous annuals or short-lived plants. Thus, Cistaceae are atypical ECM hosts that are fundamentally different in their biology from trees that are the more typically studied ECM hosts.
