Urethral stricture is a chronic urological condition that remains challenging to manage due to the limitations of traditional treatments like dilation and urethroplasty, which are prone to recurrence and complications. Tissue-engineered urethral grafts have emerged as a promising alternative, offering durable, functional restoration with reduced donor site morbidity. Innovations in scaffold fabrication, especially 3D bioprinting and hydrogel-based bio-inks, have led to the creation of structurally and biologically compatible constructs that can regenerate native urothelial layers. However, high costs, technical complexity, and limited commercial viability have restricted their widespread clinical use. Future directions should prioritize cost-reduction strategies, scalable biomanufacturing, and head-to-head trials with current treatment standards.

Objective: To investigate the clinical effect of transposition of gracilis muscle flap in repairing urethral perineal fistula after Miles operation.
Methods: The clinical data of 3 patients with urethral perineal fistula treated in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University from September 2023 to November 2024 were analyzed retrospectively. All patients were male, aged from 59 to 68 years (mean 63 years).

Background: Acellular bi-layer silk fibroin (BLSF) scaffolds represent potential alternatives to autologous tissue grafts for substitution urethroplasty (SU) given their ability to repair focal urethral defects in animal models. However, in patients with a severe fibrotic urethral plate, single or staged SU are often required to restore organ continuity. Currently, the feasibility of tubular BLSF grafts for urethral replacement is unknown.

Interstitial cystitis (IC) is a chronic pelvic pain syndrome characterized by urinary urgency, frequency, and pain. Although the exact cause of IC is unclear, severe cases may lead to chronic kidney disease (CKD), requiring complex surgical interventions. This case report presents a 46-year-old male with IC complicated by CKD secondary to total urethral stricture.

Purpose: To evaluate patient-reported oral health and pain and buccal donor site complications in adults who underwent BMG harvesting utilizing two validated questionnaires.
Materials And Methods: An ethics-approved prospective observational study was conducted among a cohort of 40 adults who had a BMG urethroplasty between June 2020 and October 2021. All cases were performed by one fellowship-trained genitourinary reconstructive surgeon.
