Di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), the most prevalent plasticizer worldwide, can enter the human body via various exposure pathways, including ingestion, inhalation, skin contact, and medical applications. It has been observed to exhibit characteristic patterns of accumulation in the female reproductive system. Research has demonstrated that DEHP poses a threat to reproductive health in females across various life stages. Exposure during childhood has been demonstrated to induce central precocious puberty (CPP). Exposure during reproductive age has been shown to be closely associated with reduced fertility, reproductive system tumors, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and increased risk of endometriosis. Furthermore, exposure during the perinatal period has been demonstrated to increase the risk of embryo implantation failure, placental dysfunction, and abnormal ovarian development in offspring. The toxic effects of DEHP exhibit transgenerational transmission characteristics, with its metabolic products' endocrine-disrupting activity and oxidative stress-inducing capacity being the core toxic factors. This study integrates toxicological evidence linking DEHP exposure to female reproductive damage, providing important references for environmental health risk assessment and the prevention and control of female reproductive diseases.

The Chicago Maternity Center provided obstetrical services for the medically underserved on Chicago's Near West Side for nearly eight decades (1895-1974). While its founder's vision, its outreach to underserved communities, the reasons for its decline, and the perceived abandonment of the community when it closed have been well documented, less attention has been paid to the role of trainees in providing obstetrical care. Medical students and residents routinely delivered babies in patients' homes, often without adequate supervision.

Background: Despite evidence that mothers-in-law (MILs) influence daughters-in-law's (DILs) fertility and family planning decisions in South Asia, emphasizing early fertility and male grandchildren, few reproductive health interventions engage MILs directly.
Objectives: We assessed the feasibility, acceptability, and qualitative impact of a reproductive health and life skill-based intervention on MILs in tribal Rajasthan, India, using a mixed-methods, single-group cluster pilot study.
Methods: We tested a light-touch four-session intervention delivered over 4 months to MILs of newly married women that covered MILs' health, conception, and communication with DILs and sons and addressed modern healthcare misconceptions, while challenging son preference and fertility norms.

The sterile insect technique (SIT) is a highly effective biologically-based method for the suppression of many insect pest populations. SIT efficacy could be improved by methods of male sterilization that avoid the use of irradiation that can result in diminished fitness and mating competitiveness. Alternative sterilization methods include conditional disruption of genes for male fertility, or using their sperm-specific promoters to drive the expression of genes for lethal effectors.

This systematic review and meta-analysis examines the role of romantic attachment as a protective or risk factor in how individuals cope with infertility diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes. A systematic search was conducted across six databases from January 1, 2011, to February 3, 2025. Seventeen studies met inclusion criteria, exploring associations between romantic attachment and individual psychological correlates of infertility.
