A new alumaborane compound containing a {AlH-BH} functional group has been prepared by reaction of the aluminium(I) complex [{(ArCMeN)CH}Al] (Ar = 2,6--PrCH) with a boron dihydride species supported by an anionic chelating κ-, ligand. Spectroscopic analysis of the product suggests that it exists as a mixture of isomers in solution with the ligand on boron coordinating in both a κ and κ fashion. The dialumane analogue, containing a {AlH-AlH} functional group, was also prepared. Comparison of the structure and bonding of these species by DFT calculations suggests that reactivity of the AlH-BH moiety should be governed by the nucleophilicity of the Al-H and Al-B bonds along with the Lewis acidity imparted by the partially available 2p of boron. Chemoselective reactions are observed with CO, CNXyl (Xyl = 2,6-MeCH), and PhCN. While CO inserts selectively into the Al-H bond to generate a formate, the more Lewis basic substrates CNXyl and PhCN react through initial coordination at boron and insertion into the Al-B bond. In the case of PhCN, an unusual pathway to generate 1,3,2-diazaborole compound is reported. Our work delivers the first insight into the reactivity of the {AlH-BH} functional group and provides a rational framework for further developments.

Background: Experience with icodextrin use in children on long-term peritoneal dialysis is limited. We describe international icodextrin prescription practices and their impact on clinical outcomes: ultrafiltration, blood pressure control, residual kidney function (RKF), technique and patient survival.
Methods: We included patients under 21 years enrolled in the International Pediatric Peritoneal Dialysis Network (IPPN) between 2007 and 2024, on automated PD with a daytime dwell.

Fibroblast activation protein (FAP) is an attractive biomarker for tumor-targeting radioligands. While [Ga]Ga-FAPI-46 is a promising FAP-targeting radioligand for cancer diagnosis, clinical application of [Lu]Lu-FAPI-46 for targeted radionuclide therapy is limited due to its insufficient tumor retention. Albumin binder (ALB) including 4-(-iodophenyl)butyric acid is widely utilized to improve tumor accumulation of radioligands.

Background: The benefits of rehabilitation in acute ischemic stroke patients following thrombectomy remain underexplored. We assessed which activities of daily living (ADLs) show the greatest improvement after goal-directed therapy in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed pre- and post-rehabilitation functional assessments in 40 acute ischemic stroke patients treated with mechanical thrombectomy.

Language learning and use relies on domain-specific, domain-general cognitive and sensory-motor functions. Using fMRI during story listening and behavioral tests, we investigated brain-behavior associations between linguistic and non-linguistic measures in individuals with varied multilingual experience and reading skills, including typical reading participants (TRs) and dyslexic readers (DRs). Partial Least Square Correlation revealed a main component linking cognitive, linguistic, and phonological measures to amodal/associative brain areas.

Increased adiposity and chronic psychosocial stress (CPS) are plausible modifiable contributors of the recent increase in early-onset colorectal cancer (EOCRC). We conducted an 8-week randomized controlled pilot trial evaluating the feasibility and acceptability of time restricted eating (TRE) (daily ad libitum eating between 12-8pm) and Mindfulness ("Mindfulness for Beginners" course from the Calm app) among young adults. Participants were randomized to the following groups: TRE ( = 10); Mindfulness ( = 11); TRE & Mindfulness ( = 11); or Control ( = 11).
