Article Abstract

In human-robot interaction (HRI), the quality of user experience is paramount. Thus, developing strategies to tailor robotic responsiveness to user comfort zone is essential. However, current methods remain constrained by complex software and limited to unidirectional speed enhancement. Inspired by the adaptive pathways of biological brain, this study introduces a photochromic diarylethene-doped organic floating-gate field-effect transistor (OFGFET) capable of bidirectional response speed control. Mechanism investigations revealed that a light-controllable back charge transfer process facilitates dynamic speed adjustments. Notably, the OFGFET device potentially enables effective regulation of response speeds to enhance user comfort while maintaining efficient and detailed movie playback. This work establishes a distinctive paradigm in HRI, offering unprecedented adaptability that could transform user experience design across diverse interactive technologies.

This article addresses the fixed-time leaderless cluster synchronization of spatiotemporal community networks (SCNs) characterized by nonidentical node dynamics and reaction-diffusion feature. First, a signed SCN with reaction-diffusion effect is formulated, where the sign-based coupling is introduced to capture the dynamics of coopetition interactions among different communities. Second, to ensure the invariance of the synchronous manifold, an improved interdegree balance condition is proposed as a prerequisite for achieving cluster synchronization of the community network.

Common neural choice signals reflect accumulated evidence, not confidence.

Centro-parietal electroencephalogram signals (centro-parietal positivity and error positivity) correlate with the reported level of confidence. According to recent computational work these signals reflect evidence which feeds into the computation of confidence, not directly confidence. To test this prediction, we causally manipulated prior beliefs to selectively affect confidence, while leaving objective task performance unaffected.
