Article Abstract

Luminescent solar concentrators (LSCs) based on high photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) quasi-2D perovskites demonstrate superior edge light collection capability, which breaks the étendue limit and achieves signal reception in visible light communication (VLC). Herein, 2,7-bis(diphenylphosphoryl)-9,9-spirobifluorene (SPPO13) is introduced into the Q-2D RP-phase perovskite (BACsPbBr, <> = 5), realizing dual effects of defect passivation and small value phase suppression. The emission peak of the optimized film is at 518 nm with a maximum PLQY of 99.49%, and it shows excellent air storage and UV stability. The Q-2D perovskite LSCs realize an external optical efficiency of 4.3% under a geometric factor of 3.75 and are applied to VLC systems for the first time. As a result, the VLC systems achieve an FoV exceeding ±30° and a bandwidth of 165 MHz (-20 dB), enabling a light communication rate of 432 Mbps. This work expands the interdisciplinary application of Q-2D perovskite LSCs in VLC systems, liberating VLC receivers from complex active pointing and tracking systems.

This study presents a novel photovoltaic triboelectric nanogenerator (PTENG) that operates on sliding contacts between n-type (gallium arsenide) GaAs and metal electrodes in the presence of periodic light illumination, which offers harvesting energy synergistically by integrating both photovoltaic and triboelectric effects to enhance the energy output. Using an in-house built test setup with provision of laser illumination, the open-circuit voltage () and short-circuit current () were measured for the n-GaAs semiconductors with different metal contacts (Al and Cu). Under both laser light (630 nm) and without laser light conditions, n-GaAs with aluminum contacts exhibited the highest and values, reaching up to 11.

A growing body of evidence has documented the adverse health consequences of structural stigma across multiple marginalized groups, including sexual minorities. In light of these advancements, scholars have urged the field to refine conceptualizations of structural stigma to guide future empirical work. We heed this charge by analyzing two sets of qualitative data among gay and bisexual men obtained from a probability-based panel: 1) responses to an open-ended survey question about structural stigma (=385) and 2) in-depth interviews about their subjective experiences of structural stigma (=60).
