Long-afterglow luminescent coatings, as photoluminescent materials, can effectively enhance road visibility at night, thereby ensuring traffic safety. Therefore, developing long-afterglow luminescent coatings with excellent afterglow performance and pavement properties is crucial. In this study, the combination weighting-VIKOR method was applied to evaluate seven indicators: luminescent brightness, luminous flux, abrasion resistance, skid resistance, adhesion, stain resistance, and ultraviolet aging resistance, to determine the optimal coating ratio. The experimental results show that the optimal coating ratio is as follows: 30% luminescent powder, 8% glass powder, and 4% titanium dioxide. The luminescent powder selected is SrAlO: Eu, Dy, which emits a yellow-green glow. The samples prepared with this ratio not only exhibit excellent ultraviolet aging and stain resistance but also demonstrate outstanding afterglow and pavement properties. The long-afterglow road coatings developed in this study provide new ideas for the future development and application of road marking materials.
