Port wine stain (PWS) is a vascular, benign congenital malformation, which presents at birth and persists for life. PWS usually appears as flat red macule but tend to darken progressively to purple with soft tissue hypertrophy and may often develop disfiguring vascular nodules leading to a reduced quality of life for patients. Therapeutic interventions include the use of different laser systems such as pulsed dye lasers. To report the removal of PWS nodules with CO laser. Two PWS patients with nodules were included in the study. A CO laser (Unilas Touch, Limmer) was used to vaporize the lesion under local anesthesia. Laser parameters were selected to minimize the risk of potential scarring. The follow up of the patients showed a significant improvement in the skin condition and the nodular areas of the PWS became flatter without notable side effects. The CO laser treatment is a safe and effective treatment modality to remove nodules in PWS leading to an improved appearance of facial PWS.

Fluorine-fluorocholine (F-FCH) is a radiopharmaceutical used in primary hyperparathyroidism. The data about its utility in malignancies other than prostate and hepatocellular carcinoma is limited. We present the case of a patient who was referred for F-FCH positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) due to the persistently elevated parathormone and calcium levels following total thyroidectomy with left lower parathyroidectomy for parathyroid carcinoma (PTC).

Thyroid lesions associated with DICER1 syndrome include multifocal hyperplastic and benign neoplastic proliferations (follicular nodular disease) with characteristic macrofollicular and/or intrafollicular centripetal papillary growth patterns, frequently associated with atrophic and involutional changes. There are also well-differentiated thyroid carcinomas showing intermediate-type nuclei, sometimes combining high-grade areas (tumor-in-tumor pattern) and poorly differentiated carcinomas. Here, for the first time, we describe an encapsulated follicular cell thyroid tumor showing a mixed follicular and morular growth pattern, which presented in an 11-year-old girl with follicular nodular disease and a constitutional (germline) DICER1 p.

Acral lentiginous melanoma (ALM) is a rare type of cutaneous malignant melanoma, predominantly affecting the acral sites and subungual regions of the upper and lower extremities. Unlike other melanoma types, UV exposure is not considered as significant etiological factor. Instead, mechanical stress, particularly traumatic injury, is recognized as a potential contributor to ALM development, especially in weight-bearing areas such as the sole.
