Background: Ultra-wide coverage CT (> 128 detector rows) makes it possible to image a heart or brain in a single rotation but are associated with large cone angles, which can severely degrade the image quality.
Purpose: This study evaluate the image quality and artifact levels of a dual-focal-spot single-detector (DFSSD) CT geometry designed to achieve 140 mm z-axis coverage, through a simulation study.
Methods: The DFSSD CT system employs two x-ray focal spots spaced 90 mm apart along the z-axis and a 100 mm CT detector.

Rationale: Whether syngo DynaCT Sine Spin non-contrast flat detector CT (FDCT) imaging is sufficient to rule out intracranial hemorrhage in suspected acute stroke patients is unknown.
Aim: To determine if syngo DynaCT Sine Spin non-contrast FDCT imaging is non-inferior to conventional multidetector CT (MDCT) imaging for the detection and exclusion of intracranial hemorrhages in suspected acute stroke patients.
Sample Size: To enroll 252 participants in three buckets (126 ischemic stroke patients, 126 hemorrhagic stroke patients (including 14 patients with an isolated infratentorial hemorrhage).

Early stages of chronic kidney disease (CKD) are closely associated with vascular remodeling and coronary artery calcification. The aim of this study is to determine whether adropin is associated with asymptomatic coronary calcification in patients in the early stages of CKD. This study enrolled 337 individuals fulfilling the inclusion criteria of the early stages of CKD (G1-2, A1-3) and divided them into two subgroups with ( = 196) and without ( = 141) asymptomatic coronary artery calcification.

Objective: This study aimed to develop a multi-omics nomogram that combines clinical parameters, radiomics, and deep transfer learning (DTL) features of hyperattenuated imaging markers (HIM) from computed tomography scans immediately following mechanical thrombectomy (MT) to predict functional outcomes at discharge.
Methods: This study enrolled 246 patients with HIM who underwent MT. Patients were randomly assigned to a training cohort ( = 197, 80%) and a validation cohort ( = 49, 20%), with an additional internal prospective test cohort ( = 57).

Background: Botulinum neurotoxins are used to treat masseter muscle prominence (MMP), benign bilateral masseter muscle enlargement which can be aesthetically undesirable. Limited data report botulinum neurotoxin injections in the muscles of mastication, with subsequent reduction in biomechanical loading, may impact mandibular bone density.
Objectives: This study evaluates whether changes in mandibular bone density occur after bilateral masseter treatment with a botulinum neurotoxin, onabotulinumtoxinA, in individuals with MMP.
