Background: Advanced MRI techniques, motion-correction and T2*-relaxometry, may provide information regarding functional properties of pulmonary tissue. We assessed whether lung volumes and pulmonary T2* values in fetuses with congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) were lower than controls and differed between survivors and non-survivors.
Methods: Women with uncomplicated pregnancies (controls) and those with a CDH had a fetal MRI on a 1.

The use of unvetted third-party and internet data renders pre-trained models susceptible to backdoor attacks. Detecting backdoor samples is critical to prevent backdoor activation during inference or injection during training. However, existing detection methods often require the defender to have access to the poisoned models, extra clean samples, or significant computational resources to detect backdoor samples, limiting their practicality.

Purpose: Cardiac diffusion tensor imaging (cDTI) can investigate the microstructure of heart tissue. At sufficiently high b-values, additional information on microstructure can be observed, but the data require a representation such as diffusion kurtosis imaging (DKI). cDTI is prone to image corruption, which is usually treated with shot rejection but which can be handled more generally with robust estimation.

Background: The avian caecal microbiota plays a vital role in host nutrition, enabling non-digestible, fibrous material to be converted into compounds that can be absorbed and used as an energy source by the host. The diet of adult red grouse () is dominated by heather (), which is particularly high in fibre. It is therefore likely that the caecal microbiota plays a key role in enabling grouse to thrive on this diet.

Objectives: Large language models (LLMs), such as OpenAI's GPT-4o, have demonstrated considerable promise in transforming clinical decision support systems. In this study, we focused on a single but crucial task of clinical decision-making: laboratory test ordering.
Methods: We evaluated the self-consistency and performance of GPT-4o as a laboratory test recommender for 15 simulated clinical cases of different complexities across primary and emergency care settings.
