The Light-vented Bulbul () has rapidly expanded across East Asia, particularly in South Korea since the early 2000s. This study presents the complete mitochondrial genomes of five individuals died from window collisions in Seoul. The genomes, sequenced using next-generation sequencing technology, are 16,923bp long and contain 13 protein-coding genes, 22 tRNAs, and 2 rRNAs. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that South Korean forms a monophyletic clade with from China, indicating high genetic similarity. These findings provide essential data for understanding of population structure and regional adaptation.

Objective: This study aimed to identify potential mutations associated with major depressive disorder (MDD) and evaluate disease-associated risk factors.
Methods: Total genomic DNAwas extracted from the participants' blood samples, and the complete mitochondrial genome wasamplified by PCR, purified, and sequenced. Mutation burden analysis and functional mutation analysis was performed, including total mutation counts, highly conserved mutations (Conservation Index >75 %), and structurally disruptive mutations.

The sea cucumber is an important holothuroid species inhabiting the eastern North Atlantic Ocean benthic zone at depths from about 20 - 3000 m. Geographical distribution is from the Barents Sea in the north to the Canary Islands in the south. Along with the increasing commercial interest of new sea cucumber species, research into sea cucumber biology has also advanced.

Red root disease in rubber trees, caused by , is a prevalent and severe soil-borne disease in rubber tree cultivation areas. The pathogen exhibits complex infections, with multiple transmission pathways, making the disease highly concealed and difficult to diagnose in its early stages. As a result, prevention and control are challenging, posing a serious threat to rubber production.
