This study examined the effects of the reading circle method on the curiosity and discovery perceptions, creative reading skills and visual literacy competencies of Turkish teacher candidates. The study group of the study conducted for this purpose consists of 48 teacher candidates studying in the Turkish language teaching department of a university in the north of Türkiye. A sequential mixed design was used in this study, which was conducted with mixed methods. In the quantitative dimension of this study, a pre-test and post-test, control-group-free experimental design was used, while in the qualitative dimension, a case study design was used. The Life Skills Scale, Individual Innovation Scale and semi-structured interview form were used to collect the data in this study. To examine the effect of the experimental process in this study, the data obtained were analyzed with a t-test for dependent groups; the data obtained from the interviews were analyzed with content analysis. According to the results obtained from this study, the reading circle method significantly affected the curiosity and discovery perceptions of teacher candidates. It was determined that creative reading skills have a significant effect on the sum of the scales and all other subdimensions except for the dimension of interpreting the text and the dimension of giving importance to visuality and interpreting visuals using Office software in visual literacy competencies.

Although the recently approved prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-targeted radioligand therapy (RLT) [Lu]Lu-PSMA-617 has improved outcomes for patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC), not all patients respond optimally to this treatment; even measuring response accurately can be difficult. Moreover, there is currently a lack of validated prognostic and predictive biomarkers for [Lu]Lu-PSMA-617 treatment in this patient population. There is, therefore, a growing need to identify biomarkers to help optimize patient selection for [Lu]Lu-PSMA-617 and guide therapy decision-making.

Objectives: To evaluate a deep-learning algorithm for automated coronary artery analysis on ultrahigh-resolution photon-counting detector coronary computed tomography (CT) angiography and compared its performance to expert readers using invasive coronary angiography as reference.
Methods: Thirty-two patients (mean age 68.6 years; 81 % male) underwent both energy-integrating detector and ultrahigh-resolution photon-counting detector CT within 30 days.

Purpose: The rate of geographic atrophy (GA) enlargement is commonly used as an outcome in clinical trials. However, this metric typically lacks specificity for central macular involvement and structure-function relationships. We propose a targeted approach in monitoring GA progression within the central macula, highlighting the limited benefit of including GA expansion beyond the 3-mm perifoveal zone when analyzing visual function.

An isolate of a novel begomovirus, named eggplant yellow mosaic virus (EYMV), was molecularly characterized from a naturally infected, field-collected eggplant exhibiting yellow mosaic symptom in Iguowan, Edo State, Nigeria. Its complete monopartite genome is 2,805 nucleotides (nt) long, containing two virion-sense (V1 and V2) and four complementary-sense (C1-C4) open reading frames. In pairwise comparisons, EYMV shared the highest (86%) genome sequence identity with tomato leaf curl Cameroon virus isolate GH-Tou-12.
