Background: Cyclin-dependent kinase 4/6 inhibitors combined with endocrine therapy are now standard of care in the first- or second-line settings for hormone receptor positive (HR+), human epidermal growth factor 2 negative (HER2-) patients with advanced / metastatic breast cancer (ABC/MBC). Abemaciclib was first authorised in the United Kingdom (UK) in 2018 via patient access schemes before approval for routine use. This study assessed the treatment patterns and outcomes of abemaciclib in combination with endocrine therapy in a real-world setting.
Methods: This was an observational, multi-centre retrospective chart review of women in the UK with HR+, HER2- ABC/MBC treated with abemaciclib plus endocrine therapy during 07/2021 to 05/2022 with [Formula: see text]3 months' follow-up data. Data were summarised using descriptive analyses. Kaplan-Meier methods estimated time to progression (TTP) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs).
Results: One hundred seventy-four adult women from 9 institutions were included. Median patient age at abemaciclib initiation was 65.2 years. Best tumor response was recorded in 78.2% (n = 136) of patients; 0.7% had complete response, 27.9% had partial response, 59.6% had stable disease and 11.8% had disease progressed. Abemaciclib was associated with a 12-month TTP rate of 81.1% (first line), 68.2% (second line) and 58.2% (third line). The median TTP for patients who received abemaciclib in the first, second, and third line of treatment was: not reached, 27.7 months (95% CI: 11.7 months-not reached), and 19.3 months (95% CI: 7.7-21.9 months), respectively.
Conclusions: These findings support the benefit of abemaciclib in women with HR+, HER2- ABC/MBC in the real-world and complement data from MONARCH 2 and 3 clinical trials.

Purpose Of The Review: This review aimed to summarize current evidence on the effectiveness of medical nutrition therapy (MNT) in the management of obesity and endometriosis, with a focus on dietary patterns such as the Mediterranean and Ketogenic diets, as well as nutritional supplementation. Additionally, it highlights the central role of the clinical nutritionist in implementing individualized, evidence-based interventions within multidisciplinary care.
Recent Findings: Although the literature reports the existence of an inverse relationship between risk of endometriosis and body mass index, clinical evidence jointly reports that a condition of obesity is associated with greater disease severity.

Thyroid cancer, a prevalent endocrine malignancy, is influenced by its tumor microenvironment (TME), with cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) playing a pivotal role in disease progression. Molecularly, CAFs orchestrate a pro-tumorigenic niche via cytokine secretion and extracellular matrix (ECM) stiffening, underscoring their targetability. Therapeutic strategies, including small molecule inhibitor-based therapies, immune-based therapies, nanoparticle-based approaches, and combination regimens, have been evaluated for their efficacy in disrupting CAF functionality.

Purpose: To investigated the effect of pediatric massage combined with comprehensive management on height improvement in children with short stature.
Patients And Methods: This retrospective analysis included medical records of 80 children diagnosed with short stature, who received treatment at Wuhu Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine between April 2022 and April 2023. According to the recorded treatment modalities, patients were divided into two groups: the control group received standard comprehensive management (including psychological health guidance, diet, sleep, exercise), while the massage group received additional pediatric syndrome-based massage therapy alongside comprehensive treatment.

Background: Obesity is associated with hormonal imbalance, increased oxidative stress, and inflammation in the testis. These conditions adversely affect sperm quality, leading to impaired male fertility. Therefore, therapeutic interventions to counteract the adverse effects of obesity are crucial.

McCune-Albright syndrome (MAS) is a rare genetic disorder characterized by a triad of café-au-lait spots, fibrous dysplasia, and hyperfunctioning endocrinopathies, resulting from a mosaic mutation in the guanine nucleotide-binding protein (GNAS) gene. This case report presents the long-term follow-up of an eight-year-old girl diagnosed with MAS, who first presented at 22 months of age with skin pigmentation, hyperthyroidism, and precocious puberty, later developing additional features such as fibrous dysplasia and growth hormone excess. This complex presentation of MAS-featuring more than two hyperfunctioning endocrinopathies along with fibrous dysplasia-has rarely been described in the literature.
