Forensic anthropology (FA) has grown significantly as a well-established and independent discipline dedicated to the examination and identification of human remains in medicolegal and humanitarian contexts. When soft tissues are highly decomposed, skeletal analysis often provides more reliable data for reconstructing biological profiles and determining identity. The increasing number of unidentified decedents in both domestic and humanitarian scenarios highlights the need for forensic anthropologists. In this context, molecular anthropology (MA) could support FA by offering additional tools for forensic identification, although collaboration between these two fields remains uncommon. Drawing from the authors' experience, this review emphasizes the value of collaboration to enhance case resolution. This review shows that when FA encounters limitations, MA may provide critical insight to address unanswered questions. Although the full integration of FA and MA has yet to be realized, combining the strengths of both fields allows for the creation of more comprehensive biological profiles, thus significantly improving the chances of identifying unknown remains. This interdisciplinary approach broadens FA's scope and drives the development of innovative techniques and methodologies, advancing the pursuit of truth and justice.

The International Center for the Study of Breast Cancer Subtypes (ICSBCS) has played a vital role in defining and overcoming many inequities that exist in breast cancer treatment and outcome on a global basis through capacity-building programs that improve the management of breast cancer patients across the African diaspora. ICSBCS activities also fill critical gaps in disparities research related to the genetics of ancestry. Over the past 20 years, ICSBCS teams have spearheaded landmark studies documenting the relevance of genetic African ancestry to breast cancer risk, while also improving the quality of care delivered to patients in diverse communities.

Objective: To investigate the pharmacological mechanism of Compound Xuanju Capsule in the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) by using network pharmacology and molecular docking technology.
Methods: The active ingredients and targets of Compound Xuanju Capsule were screened using Traditional Chinese Medicine Systematic Pharmacology Database and Analysis Platform (TCMSP). TTD, OMIM, DrugBank and GeneCards databases were used to obtain genes related to ED, and the union of the results was taken as the disease genes of ED.

Acute circadian misalignment, such as that induced by a single episode of jet lag, can leave molecular traces even after behavioral rhythms appear to recover. Here, we applied an integrated multi-omics approach-combining liver transcriptomics and plasma metabolomics-to characterize residual signatures on the 7th day after a single 6-h phase advance in male mice. Our data revealed significant alterations, particularly in the core clock genes Bmal1 and Cry1, and the metabolites l-arginine and SM(d18:1/18:1(11Z)), with notable differences at Zeitgeber Time 0 (ZT0).

TCMCB proposes a research strategy that employs active components of TCM as molecular probes to identify direct targets and systematically analyze the complex biological mechanisms.
