The house mouse () is an emerging model organism for the study of vocal communication. While mice emit a diversity of calls, most publications on adult mouse vocalizations primarily focus on ultrasonic vocalizations and only a small proportion include other vocalizations, like squeaks. The representation of squeaks in the literature is not an accurate reflection of their behavioural prevalence, however.

Kinetics of intramolecular disulphide pairing in a six-cysteine containing plant toxin peptide cycloviolacin O1 (CyO1) having a cyclic backbone and a cyclic cystine knot (CCK) is studied using a Hidden Markov Model (HMM) created from molecular dynamics simulation trajectories. Starting from a fully reduced form of CyO1 (peptide-D), the kinetic model is created to track the peptide's evolution to a native-like state (peptide-N) where all three correct pairs of S-S linkages are most likely to be observed. The structural evolution and fluctuation of peptide-D through many partially folded S-S intermediates and the associated propensity, along with the timescale of formation of a single or simultaneously two or three S-S pairs, is studied using this Markov chain.

Background: Ambulance collisions pose a significant occupational risk to personnel, patients, and the public. Despite ongoing efforts to improve safety measures, the complex nature of emergency response operations continues to pose challenges in reducing collision risks.
Objective: This study investigates the role of the dedicated Vehicle Collisions Review Panel at Hamad Medical Corporation Ambulance Service (HMCAS) in identifying, understanding, and managing risks associated with ambulance collisions.

The Accessing academic information like exam time tables, exam scores, syllabus and tutor information on institutional websites can be time consuming and tedious on behalf of the student. In this case, we will solve this dilemma by creating an intelligent and an automated Student Intent-based Educational Chatbot that integrates deep learning along with state-of-art optimization algorithms. Following the pre-processing of student inquiries with generic chatbot data sets, the system starts operating.

The oscillatory nature of intrinsic brain networks is largely taken for granted in the systems neuroscience community. However, the hypothesis that brain rhythms-and by extension transient bursting oscillations-underlie functional networks has not been demonstratedElectrophysiological measures of functional connectivity are indeed affected by the power bias, which may lead to artefactual observations of spectrally specific network couplings not genuinely driven by neural oscillations, bursting or not. We investigate this crucial question by introducing a unique combination of a rigorous mathematical analysis of the power bias in frequency-dependent amplitude connectivity with a neurobiologically informed model of cerebral background noise based on hidden Markov modeling of resting-state magnetoencephalography (MEG).
