Plant natural products or specialized metabolites play a vital role in drug discovery and development, with many clinically important derivatives such as the anticancer drugs topotecan (derived from the natural alkaloid camptothecin) and etoposide (derived from the natural polyphenol podophyllotoxin). Remarkable advances in understanding plant natural product metabolism have been achieved at an unprecedented pace over the past 15 years. The integration of high-throughput technologies in genomics, transcriptomics, and metabolomics has generated vast datasets that provide a more comprehensive understanding of plant metabolism. Additionally, advances in computational tools, machine learning, and data analytics have played a crucial role in processing and interpreting the massive amounts of newly available data, enabling researchers to uncover intricate regulatory networks and identify key components of biosynthetic pathways. This review navigates the evolving landscape of plant biosynthetic pathway elucidation accelerated by innovative multidisciplinary strategies that capitalize on big data. We highlight recent advances in plant-specialized biosynthesis that illustrate how big data are increasingly leveraged to unravel the complexities of plant metabolism.

The present study explored associations between the five personality traits (Extraversion, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, Neuroticism, and Openness) and dietary patterns of apparently healthy individuals. Demographic, anthropometric, dietary, and personality data were obtained from 480 adults, up to 45 years of age, through self-completed questionnaires. Dietary habits were assessed a validated for the population Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ), whereas personality was evaluated with the validated Greek version of the 50-item International Personality Item Pool (IPIP).

Background: Virtual reality (VR) and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies have advanced significantly over the past few decades, expanding into various fields, including dental education.
Purpose: To comprehensively review the application of VR and AI technologies in dentistry training, focusing on their impact on cognitive load management and skill enhancement. This study systematically summarizes the existing literature by means of a scoping review to explore the effects of the application of these technologies and to explore future directions.

The uncharted effects of cadmium and cesium on circadian syndrome (CircS), an emerging circadian rhythm disorder drawing considerable attention, and underlying mechanisms warrant exigent elaboration. Data of 11141 subjects from National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2005-2018 were incorporated to investigate separate-, joint-/interaction-, and mixture-effects of urinary cadmium and cesium on prevalent CircS risk exploiting survey weight regression and quantile g-computation. The underlying mechanisms were probed by network toxicological analysis.

Background: Few population-based multilevel analyses examining individual- and neighborhood-level risk factors for schizophrenia have been conducted.
Methods: A study cohort of all persons born in Denmark from 1990 to 1999 was followed for diagnosis with schizophrenia. Follow-up was initiated at 10th birthday and terminated at death, emigration, incident diagnosis, or 31st December 2018, whichever came first.
