Introduction: Peri-lead edema (PLE) is a commonly observed but often asymptomatic complication of deep brain stimulation (DBS). While usually transient and benign, severe cases of PLE can result in neurological symptoms, impacting patient outcomes. This case series explores the clinical course, management, and outcomes of symptomatic PLE in a series of five patients undergoing DBS.

Objectives: Black patients have the highest mortality rate from endometrial cancer (EC), and yet remain underrepresented in EC research. Thus, currently published symptom patterns may not be comprehensive for this population. The purpose of this study is to analyze symptomatology among Black patients with EC in the Guidelines for Ultrasound in the Detection of Early Endometrial Cancer study and to compare with those undergoing benign hysterectomy.

Precursor plasma cell disorders include monoclonal gammopathy of undermined significance (MGUS) and smoldering multiple myeloma (SMM). These conditions carry a variable risk of progression to symptomatic myeloma and there are ongoing efforts to improve risk stratification to identify patients that are at highest risk of progression. Advanced imaging plays a crucial role in diagnosis and monitoring, and more sensitive tools to measure serum monoclonal proteins and circulating tumor cells are being developed.

Purpose: To report on the real-world experience of using intravitreal pegcetacoplan for the treatment of geographic atrophy (GA) in age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
Design: Retrospective interventional case series.
Methods: Eyes with symptomatic GA secondary to AMD were treated with 15mg of intravitreal pegcetacoplan and participated in an ongoing prospective swept-source optical coherence tomography angiography (SS-OCTA) imaging study.
