Article Abstract

The quest to delve into high-nuclearity molecular metal-oxo clusters and unravel their reactivity presents a significant challenge in chemistry and materials science. In this work, we synthesized an unprecedented bowknot-like selenotungstates, [CeSeWO(OH)(HO)(mal)] (, Hmal = dl-malic acid) via an assembly strategy. The three building units, including tetravacant Keggin-{SeW}, bivacant Dawson-{SeW}, and trivacant Keggin-{SeW}, were self-assembled by the connection of {W}, independent {SeO} fragments, and seven mutually isolated Ce ions to form the unique asymmetric structure, which was further extended to the bowknot-like dimeric structure and the 1D chain structure by symmetry. Due to the good photoelectric activity, can serve as a highly efficient photocatalyst for the conversion of C-H to C-N bonds by hydroacylation of dialkyl azodicarboxylates, with a broad substrate scope and excellent reusability. This work enriches the assembly mode of POMs and provides a highly efficient photocatalyst.

Background: Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) transmission is shaped by a complex interplay of health system factors, many of which remain underexplored or insufficiently addressed. This study investigates concrete systemic transmission drivers in hospitals and long-term care facilities (LTCFs) for older adults in Merseyside, UK.

Methods: Qualitative data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 37 purposively selected participants across hospitals, LTCFs, community settings, and ambulance services.

Aims: Examine the mediating roles of family conflict (FC) and diabetes self-management behaviors (SMB) in the relationship between behavioral self-control (BSC) and glycemic levels in adolescents with type 1 diabetes (T1D). We predicted that BSC would improve glycemic levels directly and indirectly by decreasing FC and increasing SMB, both cross-sectionally and longitudinally.

Methods: 172 adolescents (M age = 16 years) with T1D were followed for three years at three medical centers.

It is essential to develop new strategies for wound treatment and skin reconstruction, particularly by scaffolds that replicate the structure and function of native skin. A bilayer scaffold was developed using three-dimensional (3D) bioprinting, based on a uniform chitosan-based formulation for both layers, maintaining material uniformity while offering structural support and promoting cell adhesion. The upper chitosan layer, embedded with NHEK-Neo, is stiffer and mimics the epidermis, while the softer lower layer contains embedded HFFs and HFSCs, mimicking the dermis.

The development of on-site Hg analysers is crucial for the rapid evaluation of Hg concentrations in environmental research. However, the fabrication of Hg analysers requires simplification of analytical procedures and device miniaturisation. Based on the above requirements, our research group previously investigated enclosed quartz cell cold vapour atomic absorption spectrometry (EQC-CV-AAS) as a base technique for an on-site Hg analyser.

Purpose: Cerebral aneurysms are blood-filled bulges that form at weak points in blood vessel walls, and their rupture can lead to life-threatening consequences. Given the high risk associated with these aneurysms, thorough examination and analysis are essential for determining appropriate treatment. While existing tools such as ANEULYSIS and its web-based counterpart WEBANEULYSIS provide interactive means for analyzing simulated aneurysm data, they lack support for collaborative analysis, which is crucial for enhancing interpretation and improving treatment decisions in medical team meetings.
