This study investigates the underlying extraction kinetics and thermodynamic principles driving the process, building on earlier research that enhanced thermosonication (TS) settings to boost the bioactive components of Sohshang () fruit juice. Responses were assessed over a temperature range of 30 °C to 50 °C after the ideal thermosonicated sohshang fruit juice (TSSJ) processing parameters (50% amplitude, 40 °C, and 60 minutes) were determined using the integrated ANN-GA model. The study uses kinetic modeling to determine the best mathematical fit by analyzing the release patterns of functional components like ascorbic acid (AA), total phenolic content (TPC), total flavonoid content (TFC), and antioxidant activity (AOA). With the highest R (0.99) and lowest χ (0.64) values for each of the five responses of various kinetic modeling, the pseudo second-order model was determined to be the best appropriate model. To comprehend the energy requirements and viability of thermosonication-assisted extraction, important thermodynamic parameters were also measured, such as activation energy (Ea: 23.29 to 29.23), enthalpy (ΔH: 15.91 to 58.05 kJ/mol), entropy (ΔS: 42.87 to 112.24 J/mol K), and Gibbs free energy (ΔG: -12.97 to -40.00 kJ/mol).

Synthetic dyes, such as Congo red (CR), pose serious threats to human health and aquatic ecosystems because of their carcinogenicity and resistance to degradation, necessitating the development of efficient and eco-friendly remediation strategies. In this study, silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) were synthesized via a green method using Ocimum sanctum (holy basil) leaf extract and applied for CR dye removal from aqueous solutions. The adsorption process was optimized using response surface methodology (RSM) based on Box-Behnken design (BBD), evaluating the influence of key parameters including pH, AgNP dosage, initial dye concentration, contact time, and temperature.

This study aimed to develop an efficient green ultrasound-assisted extraction (UAE) method for naringin (Nar) from Exocarpium Citri Grandis (ECG) using a glycerol-based ternary natural deep eutectic solvent (NADES) and explore its biofunctional relevance. After screening and single-factor optimization, the optimal NADES was identified as glycerol:malic acid:propanedioic acid (1:1:2 M ratio, 30 % water content). Extraction conditions (liquid-solid ratio, temperature, time) were optimized via response surface methodology (RSM) and an artificial neural network-genetic algorithm (ANN-GA), with ANN-GA demonstrating superior predictive capability.

Flavonoids are a major class of natural polyphenolic compounds with potent antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anticancer properties. Among them, quercetin and catechin have been widely studied due to their significant health benefits and potent free radical scavenging activity. The efficient extraction and separation of these structurally similar antioxidants remains challenging, necessitating the development of high-performance adsorbents.

A single-laboratory ultra-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry method was developed and validated for the estimation of tetraniliprole, BCS CQ 63359, spirotetramat and its metabolites from chilli and brinjal (commonly known as eggplant, aubergine or guinea squash) samples for assessing the dissipation kinetics and dietary risk assessment of field-applied tetraniliprole and spirotetramat. The control samples of brinjal and chilli fortified with tetraniliprole, spirotetramat and their metabolites at three levels of 0.01, 0.

Bisphenol A (BPA) is a persistent organic pollutant with toxic effects on human health and ecosystems. In this study, the performance of MWCNT-OH functionalized with iron nanoparticles (MWCNT-OH@Fe) using sugarcane bagasse extract as a reducing agent (green synthesis) was evaluated for BPA adsorption. The kinetics are fast, between 10 and 20 min in the range of concentrations evaluated and the resistance to external film diffusion (external film mass transfer) identified as the rate-limiting step of the process.
