Lattice structures have the characteristics of light weight, excellent heat dissipation and mechanical properties. Because of excellent properties, lattice structures have been widely used in aerospace, automobile manufacturing, biomedical and other fields. At present, additive manufacturing is the mainstream method for manufacturing lattice structures. This study reviews the existing literature on additive manufacturing of lattice structures, introduces manufacturing methods, and summarizes the influencing factors of forming quality. In addition, the topology optimization of the unit cell and the gradient design of the lattice structure are discussed, and the future research direction of the lattice structure is proposed.

Triply periodic minimal surfaces have garnered significant interest in the field of biomaterial scaffolds due to their unique structural properties, including a high surface-to-volume (S/V) ratio, tunable permeability, and the potential for enhanced biocompatibility. Bone scaffolds necessitate specific features to effectively support tissue regeneration. This study examines the permeability and active cell proliferation area of advanced Triply Periodic Minimal Surface (TPMS) lattice structures, focusing on a novel lattice design.

Among the different types of HIV-1 maturation inhibitors, those that stabilize the junction between the capsid protein C-terminal domain (CA) and the spacer peptide 1 (SP1) within the immature Gag lattice are promising candidates for antiretroviral therapies. Here, we report the atomic-resolution structure of CA-SP1 assemblies with the small-molecule maturation inhibitor PF-46396 and the assembly cofactor inositol hexakisphosphate (IP6), determined by magic angle spinning (MAS) NMR spectroscopy. Our results reveal that although the two PF-46396 enantiomers exhibit distinct binding modes, they both possess similar anti-HIV potency.

Two-dimensional (2D) materials offer a valuable platform for manipulating and studying chemical reactions at the atomic level, owing to the ease of controlling their microscopic structure at the nanometer scale. While extensive research has been conducted on the structure-dependent chemical activity of 2D materials, the influence of structural transformation during the reaction has remained largely unexplored. In this work, we report the layer-dependent chemical reactivity of MoS during a nitridation atomic substitution reaction and attribute it to the rearrangement of Mo atoms.

[Cu(3-bph)(PABA)(HO)] () (3-bph = ,'-bis(3-pyridylmethylene)hydrazine and PABA = -amino benzoate) is a pyridyl-N bridging Cu coordination polymer, and PABA acts as a carboxylate-O donor forming a square pyramidal CuNO motif following a zigzag one-dimensional (1D) lattice. The shows weak antiferromagnetic coupling ( = -0.196(1) cm), and emission appears at 352 nm (λ = 293 nm), which is selectively quenched by Fe via the FRET mechanism.

Distinctive polymer brushes (PBs) play a crucial role in providing a nonpreferential (neutral) surface for vertical orientation of block copolymers (BCPs). This bottom-up approach effectively aligns the formation of vertical lamellar and cylinder lattice structures from the BCP, which is crucial for nanopatterning and other applications. In conventional BCP self-assembly techniques, random copolymer brushes are commonly employed to achieve substrate neutrality.
