Article Abstract

To explore the knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) concerning hypertension diets among hypertensive patients, a cross-sectional survey was conducted across designated institutions in Heilongjiang Province and Jiangsu Province from December 2023 to February 2024. Data on sociodemographic factors and KAP scores were collected via questionnaires. A total of 661 valid responses were obtained, with 33.89% reporting a hypertension duration of 3-10 years. Mean knowledge, attitude, and practice scores were 23.40 ± 4.66, 61.15 ± 8.85, and 20.31 ± 3.37, respectively. Linear regression analysis identified several factors independently associated with practice, including knowledge score, attitude score, urban residence, education level, income, salt consumption, and frequency of consuming vegetables and fruits. Structural equation modeling (SEM) revealed direct and indirect effects of knowledge and attitude on practice. Hypertensive patients demonstrated adequate knowledge, positive attitudes, and proactive practices regarding hypertension diets. Healthcare professionals should focus on reinforcing positive attitudes and knowledge transfer to promote consistent and effective dietary practices for hypertension management.

Assessment of exercise capacity is useful in monitoring patients and planning a rehabilitation program for subjects with pulmonary hypertension (PH). No study has investigated the relationship of different field tests, except for the six-minute walk test (6MWT), with balance, activities of daily living (ADL), and quality of life (QoL) in subjects with PH. This study aimed to investigate the relationship of different field tests with balance, ADL, and QoL in subjects with PH.

Purpose: Hypertension (HTN) is a complex disorder regulated by multiple physiological systems. Each individual's underlying genetic architecture strongly influences inter-individual variability in therapeutic responses to HTN. Consequently, identifying candidate genes that contribute to the genetic basis of HTN remains a significant challenge.

Unlabelled: This retrospective cohort study analysed a total of 344 patients from the OSTEOMED registry with matched baseline and follow-up DXA data, finding that comorbidities such as nephrolithiasis, hypertension or coronary heart disease may influence the response to prescribed anti-osteoporotic treatment.

Purpose: To determine: 1) comorbidities associated with reduced bone mineral density (BMD), T-score and Z-score at the lumbar spine (L1 to L4 vertebrae), femoral neck and total hip; and 2) the role of multimorbidity (≥ 2 comorbidities) in reduced BMD, T-score and Z-score at the lumbar spine, femoral neck and total hip.

Methods: Retrospective cohort study analyzing patients [319 females (92.
