Evaluating groundwater infiltration (GWI) in sewer networks is essential for managing network capacities, especially amid growing pressures on network maintenance and operation caused by increasing domestic and storm water inputs. Despite this significance, GWI assessments have received limited attention, especially at large scales. In fact, no previous study has comprehensively evaluated sewersheds based on GWI scores.

Shifting climate regimes are projected to increase the area of xeric regions and result in more pronounced intermittency across river networks. Given these projected changes, we aim to understand the factors contributing to species persistence under increasing aridity. To investigate how changing flow regimes are related to changes in fish richness and assemblage composition, we compiled data from 1473 xeric stream sites in the United States and Australia.

The response of snow microbial communities to environmental variations represents a critical topic in ecological research, particularly given that winter snowfall constitutes the main form of precipitation in northern China. In this study, snow samples were collected from city and suburb areas within the same region across seven provinces in northern China. The physical and chemical properties, metal ion content, and microbial community diversity and network stability were analyzed.

Long acting (or extended release) injectable buprenorphine formulations for the treatment of opioid dependence have been introduced in a number of countries in recent years. One such product, Buvidal, available as Weekly or Monthly subcutaneous injections, has been increasingly used in many European countries and Australia for several years, and has recently been registered under the brand name Brixadi in the United States. This review provides an overview of opioid dependence, examines the rationale for the development of Buvidal, its pharmacological properties, evidence of efficacy and safety, and key principles of clinical care in the treatment of opioid dependence.

Understanding the stable isotope changes of soil water, hydrogen, and oxygen under different land cover in karst areas is beneficial for revealing the infiltration and transport processes of soil water, as well as the impact of different land cover on hydrological processes, providing theoretical basis for regional water resource utilization and ecological environment construction. We measured hydrogen and oxygen isotope of soil water in 0-50 cm profiles under four different land covers (bare land, cultivated land, grassland, and shrubland) at the Puding Karst Ecological Station in Guizhou Province from May 2021 to April 2022 through regular field sampling and indoor experiments. The stable isotope changes of hydrogen and oxygen in precipitation and soil water at 10, 25, and 45 cm layers under four land covers were compared and analyzed.
