Article Abstract

ChatGPT, the latest advancement in Artificial Intelligence (AI), represents one of the most advanced and rapidly evolving chatbot technologies to date. Its capability to provide swift and intelligent responses has garnered admiration from scientists and educators globally. Particularly, the healthcare sector stands to gain significantly from the integration of systems like ChatGPT, with benefits including enhanced productivity, reduced expenses, and improved patient outcomes. However, to ensure their equitable and appropriate implementation, it is crucial to address the ethical challenges associated with these technologies. While numerous studies have highlighted these ethical quandaries, there lacks a comprehensive discussion and resolution framework. This review aims to fill this gap by offering a detailed exploration of the ethical concerns associated with using AI tools like ChatGPT in healthcare. This exploration is structured into five main categories: Bias and discrimination, privacy and data security, disinformation and misinformation, autonomy and human interaction, and accountability and responsibility. Additionally, this review discusses the necessity of establishing a clear ethical framework for deploying AI tools in healthcare, introducing the INNOVATE framework. The detailed description and application of the INNOVATE framework aim to promote ethical practices in AI, ensuring a responsible and beneficial integration into healthcare, thereby addressing the identified ethical concerns.

Postsynthetic modification (PSM) is a powerful strategy for tailoring the structure and functionality of covalent organic frameworks (COFs). In this work, we present a novel enzymatic PSM strategy for functional group engineering within COFs. By taking advantage of enzymatic catalysis, 2-hydroxyethylthio (-S-EtOH) and ethylthio (-S-Et) groups were covalently implanted within the COF pore channels with high grafting efficiency under ambient aqueous conditions, highlighting the mild, efficient, and ecofriendly nature of this approach.

Key Mediators Reducing Socioeconomic Inequality in Early Childhood Caries.

JDR Clin Trans Res

September 2025

School of Dentistry, Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences, The University of Queensland, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

Objectives: Socioeconomic status (SES) has a significant effect on the burden of early childhood caries (ECC), yet addressing SES disparities remains challenging. This study aimed to identify and quantify the most impactful mediator linking SES effect to the occurrence of ECC using advanced causal mediation analysis, to inform targeted interventions that reduce SES-related disparities in ECC.

Methods: Data were drawn from the Study of Mothers' and Infants' Life Events, a cohort of 2,182 mother-child dyads recruited from Adelaide's 3 largest public hospitals (2013-2014).

In this review, the primary aim is to examine non-azole ring systems that have analgesic activity and, where applicable, to establish structure - activity relationships (SARs) with the nine major pathways, prostaglandin synthesis inhibition, opioid receptor modulation, sodium channel blockade, enhancement of serotonin and norepinephrine levels, cannabinoid receptor (CBR) binding, N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor antagonism, transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily V member 1 (TRPV1) antagonism, and P2X purinergic receptor blockade, have been described for pain relief. Analgesic effects have been observed in compounds containing ring systems such as piperidine, piperazine, pyridine, pyridazine, pyrazine, morpholine, thiomorpholine, pyran, thiopyran, indane, benzofuran, benzothiophene, quinoline, quinazoline, and chromene. These ring systems were classified in the whole study, first according to their molecular weights and then by bioisosteric similarity as same as first part.

Background: Soil salinization represents a critical global challenge to agricultural productivity, profoundly impacting crop yields and threatening food security. Plant salt-responsive is complex and dynamic, making it challenging to fully elucidate salt tolerance mechanism and leading to gaps in our understanding of how plants adapt to and mitigate salt stress.

Results: Here, we conduct high-resolution time-series transcriptomic and metabolomic profiling of the extremely salt-tolerant maize inbred line, HLZY, and the salt-sensitive elite line, JI853.
