The sustainable treatment and reuse of waste slurry in slurry shield construction have gained significant attention. This paper explores the application of magnetic flocculation technology for treating slurry. The CFD-DEM coupling method simulates the migration of magnetic flocs during centrifugation. Two evaluation indexes of magnetic content of floc residue (MCFR) and magnetic seed recovery rate (MSRR) are introduced. The study examines how magnetic seed concentration, feed rate, and differential speed affect floc movement, magnetic seed separation, and recovery, proposing directions for optimizing separation technology. Due to computational limitations, the simulation focuses exclusively on the process from floc entry into the decanter centrifuge to its exit at the drum's end. Results indicate that changes in centrifugal parameters significantly affect floc movement, with feed rate showing the strongest positive correlation with MSRR, followed by differential speed. As magnetic seed concentration increases, both MCFR and MSRR rise. However, when concentration becomes too high, MSRR begins to decrease. Feed rate strongly influences magnetic floc behavior, with MCFR and MSRR showing complementary trends. Through the transformation of the separation equipment, the MSRR can be increased to 93.4%.

Neuroimaging in rodents holds promise for advancing our understanding of the central nervous system (CNS) mechanisms that underlie chronic pain. Employing two established, but pathophysiologically distinct rodent models of chronic pain, the aim of the present study was to characterize chronic pain-related functional changes with resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). In Experiment 1, we report findings from Lewis rats 3 weeks after Complete Freund's adjuvant (CFA) injection into the knee joint (n = 16) compared with the controls (n = 14).

The current study sought to explore the impact of a novel noninvasive treatment called transcranial photobiomodulation (PBM) on resting-state functional connectivity (rsFC) of the cerebellum in individuals with a history of repetitive head acceleration events (RHAEs). RHAEs are associated with cumulative neurological compromise, including chronic alterations in rsFC; however, few treatments have been investigated to mitigate these effects. A recent study by our team demonstrated that PBM treatment led to improvements in measures of balance and motor function in adults with RHAE exposure.

Purpose: To evaluate the feasibility and clinical utility of non-contrast magnetic resonance angiography (NC-MRA) using a modified balanced steady-state free precession (b-SSFP) technique combined with arterial spin labeling (ASL) for post-embolotherapy follow-up of renal artery aneurysms (RAAs), with digital subtraction angiography (DSA) as the reference standard.
Method: A total of 57 patients with RAAs underwent embolotherapy between June 2013 and July 2024. Among them, 15 RAAs from 14 patients underwent post-embolization surveillance with the NC-MRA and DSA.

Liver cancer is the fourth most deadly cancer worldwide, but existing treatment options are insufficient, thus highlighting the urgent need for new therapeutic agents. Taxanes, known for their anticancer properties, provide a promising avenue for intervention. In this study, a tetracyclic taxane compound with antitumor activity (taxinine) was extracted and isolated from Taxus chinensis (T.

Objective: To investigate the neural and molecular correlates of occupational burnout in nurses by integrating resting-state fMRI (rs-fMRI), clinical assessments, brain-wide gene expression, and neurotransmitter atlases.
Methods: Fifty-one female nurses meeting burnout criteria and 51 matched healthy controls underwent 3 T rs-fMRI. We analyzed fractional amplitude of low-frequency fluctuations (fALFF) and seed-based functional connectivity (FC), correlating findings with burnout (emotional exhaustion [EE], depersonalization [DP], and personal accomplishment [PA]).
