Hindered rotation and bending anharmonicity in aluminum alkyls: implications for methylaluminoxane thermodynamics.

Accurate thermodynamic calculations for aluminum alkyls require proper treatment of low-frequency vibrations poorly described by the harmonic approximation (HA). Here, we present a systematic investigation of hindered rotation and out-of-plane bending in aluminum trichloride (ATC) and its methyl derivatives, employing advanced computational methods to perform anharmonic entropy corrections, such as torsional eigenvalue summation (TES), the extended two-dimensional torsion method (E2DT), the multi-structural approximation with torsional anharmonicity (MS-T), and Fourier grid Hamiltonian (FGH). Our results reveal distinct structure-dependent behaviors: monomers exhibit near-free methyl rotations where the HA overestimates entropy by 20-30 J K mol, while dimers show more hindered rotations adequately described by the HA around room temperature.

The proposed methods often have the drawback that they are not derived from a statistical framework and may lead to conservative confidence intervals. Background: Although magnification is an advantage of robotic liver resection (RLR) as it enables precise surgery, the direction of parenchymal dissection, the vascular anatomy, and the tumor location can sometimes be lost. Extended reality (XR) has advantages over other navigation systems in terms of spatial awareness, sharing, and simplicity, and it also has the potential to overcome some of the limitations of RLR. Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the performance of ChatGPT (GPT-4o) in interpreting free-text breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) reports by assigning BI-RADS categories and recommending appropriate clinical management steps in the absence of explicitly stated BI-RADS classifications.

Methods: In this retrospective, single-center study, a total of 352 documented full-text breast MRI reports of at least one identifiable breast lesion with descriptive imaging findings between January 2024 and June 2025 were included in the study. Incomplete reports due to technical limitations, reports describing only normal findings, and MRI examinations performed at external institutions were excluded from the study.
