Article Abstract

Background: The bonding of restorative materials to tooth structure is made easier by dental adhesive solutions, which are essential in restorative dentistry. Nonetheless, there are a number of things that can affect how well they operate, such as oral environmental contaminants.

Methodology: The research utilized a regulated experimental framework, segmenting the samples into smaller groups to symbolize discrete contamination scenarios observed in dentistry settings, such as artificial saliva and Viscostat clear contamination prior to and following bonding agent curing. The adhesive groups consisted of three subgroups: ADPER SINGLE BOND-2, CLEARFIL LINER BOND-F, AND SINGLE BOND UNIVERSAL ADHESIVE. Each subgroup had 11 samples. To assess the variations in shear bond strength across the groups, statistical analysis was applied, most likely using SPSS or a comparable program.

Results: In all contamination circumstances, ADPER SINGLE BOND-2 consistently showed a stronger shear bond strength than CLEARFIL LINER BOND-F and SINGLE BOND UNIVERSAL ADHESIVE, according to the data. To be more precise, ADPER SINGLE BOND-2 showed better results even when artificial saliva and Viscostat clear were present, suggesting that it might be used in clinical settings. These results highlight how crucial adhesive choice is to get the best bonding results possible in restorative dentistry.

Conclusion: According to the study, ADPER SINGLE BOND-2 may provide medical professionals with a dependable solution for creating strong, long-lasting adhesive connections, especially in difficult clinical settings where contamination is a possibility.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the shear bond strength and Adhesive Remnant Index (ARI) of ceramic brackets bonded to enamel using a universal adhesive system free of bisphenol A glycidyl methacrylate (Bis-GMA). A total of 100 bovine incisors were divided into 2 groups (n = 50) that received ceramic brackets (Morelli Ceramic or Ice Clear) bonded after acid etching and application of 1 of 5 adhesive systems (n = 10): Adper Single Bond 2, a conventional adhesive system (control group); Scotchbond Universal Plus, a Bis-GMA-free universal adhesive system; and Single Bond Universal, BeautiBond Xtreme, and BeautiOrtho Bond II, all Bis-GMA-containing universal adhesives. Shear bond strength was tested in a universal testing machine (50-kgf load cell; 0.

Background: This study aimed to examine the effect of sandblasting on the shear bond strength (SBS) of two adhesive systems on cervical dentin in the gingival wall of Class II restorations at two different distances.

Materials And Methods: In this study, 88 intact premolars were used. After creating a natural smear layer, samples were divided into self-etch (CLEARFIL LINER BOND F) and total-etch (Adper Single Bond 2) groups ( = 44).

The repair of defective composite restorations, particularly bulk-fill composites, offers a conservative alternative to complete replacement. However, establishing durable adhesion between aged and fresh composites remains a clinical challenge due to the altered surface properties of aged materials. This in vitro study investigated the effects of different surface treatment protocols (no treatment, diamond bur roughening, and air abrasion) and adhesive systems (G-Premio Bond, Clearfil SE Bond, and Adper Single Bond 2) on the shear bond strength (µSBS), tensile bond strength (µTBS), and microleakage of repaired bulk-fill composites.

Introduction: During curing of composite resins, polymerization shrinkage occurs and generates stress. The configuration factor (C-factors) is an important clinical parameter and is related to polymerization shrinkage, bond strength, and durability. High C-factors indicate situations in which the material polymerizes under greater external constraint.

This study investigated the effects of acid etching with grape seed extract (GSE)-modified etchants, varying phosphoric acid (PA) concentrations, on endogenous collagenolytic activity of etched dentin, adhesive-dentin (A/D) interfacial formation, and bond strength over time. Three PA concentrations (5%, 10%, and 20%) were combined with 2% GSE (5PA/GSE, 10PA/GSE, and 20PA/GSE) and compared to a control (CT) group using 32% PA gel (3M Universal Scotchbond etchant). Seventy-four caries-free human third molars were sectioned to expose dentin surfaces, which were etched and analyzed.
