Recent advancements in display technology have led to the development and diversification of complex glass materials. Among them, Corning's Lotus NXT glass offers excellent optical properties, high thermal stability, and dimensional accuracy, which are crucial for display applications. However, these characteristics make it difficult to apply pre-existing machining techniques developed for conventional glass materials directly to NXT glass. In this study, we used the laser-induced deep etching (LIDE) technique to fabricate micro holes in NXT glass. Various laser, chemical, and mechanical parameters were subjected to experimental analysis and optimization to achieve higher etching speed and aspect ratio. In this study, successful etching of Corning's Lotus NXT glass was achieved by optimizing laser parameters, including a wavelength of 1030 nm, a pulse energy of 45 µJ, a pulse count of 2 × 10, and a repetition rate of 40 kHz, combined with a chemical composition consisting of a 1:5 molar ratio of HF to HCl. This resulted in a high aspect ratio of ∼23:1 and an impressive etching speed of 1200 µm/h.

The surface resistivity of boroaluminosilicate display glasses, which may affect the downstream display panel manufacturing, varies with the relative humidity (RH) of the environment, but the origin of this RH dependence has not been well understood. We have measured the water adsorption behavior on Corning Eagle XG (Glass-E) and Lotus NXT (Glass-L) glass panels using Brewster angle transmission infrared spectroscopy. The IR spectra of adsorbed water were analyzed to obtain the effective thickness of adsorbed water, the distribution of hydrogen-bonding interactions among the adsorbed water molecules, and the isosteric heat of water adsorption.

This study evaluated the fracture resistance, biaxial flexural strength (BFS), and dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) of three-dimensional (3D) printing resins for the esthetic restoration of primary molars. Two 3D printing resins, Graphy (GP) and NextDent (NXT), and a prefabricated zirconia crown, NuSmile (NS), were tested. GP and NXT samples were 3D printed using the workflow recommended by each manufacturer.

Objective: To investigate neurodegenerative and inflammatory biomarkers in people with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (PALS), evaluate their predictive value for ALS progression rates, and assess their utility as pharmacodynamic biomarkers for monitoring treatment effects.
Methods: De-identified, longitudinal plasma, and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) samples from PALS (n = 108; 85 with samples from ≥2 visits) and controls without neurological disease (n = 41) were obtained from the Northeast ALS Consortium (NEALS) Biofluid Repository. Seventeen of 108 PALS had familial ALS, of whom 10 had C9orf72 mutations.

Objective: In the present study, the efficacy of Naoxintong capsule (NXT), a compound Chinese herbal medicine, combined with dual antiplatelet therapy (DA) in a rat model of coronary microembolization (CME) was evaluated.
Methods: CME in rats was developed by injecting a suspension of microthrombotic particles into the left ventricle when the ascending aorta was obstructed. Microthrombotic particles were generated from the clots of rats sized by filtration through a screen (aperture diameter, 38 μm).
